These forums will be on a trial, so if we feel they're not as successful as we hope they will be, we will remove them again.

And remember, those who ask for moderator status will most likely be unfit for the job

Well, you all probably know my opinion on this matter... By making forums for every possible topic of interest, you completely beat the point of having a GENERAL discussion forum. I mean, this forum hasn't been getting SO much posts a day to justify splitting up the forum. The music forum's alright, but the other ones are totally unnecessary, in my opinion.

I'm seeing advantages and disadvantages so far. It's keeping discussion more focussed now, but it's also creating SPAM. Granted, that problem can be easily solved once we get mods assigned to the forums to clean up.

Over all, I think it's working well.

I don't think they're trying to spam. I think they're just trying to get some activity going in the new forums.

This might just be me, but wouldn't it be better if the TV/movies section and the music section were one?

Once the Moderators get assigned I think it will be ok. Good luck guys and gals!

There should a be a thread called ''How was your day'' here in general discussion, that way this forum keeps going.

If all the topics people think of ended up here in general discussion then the topics would only get 3-4 replys which kills the purpose of a great topic.

So I am with Frost on this on.

I've been crossing my fingers but more than likely they won't. Don't worry, when they become old and frail and we're semi-young and semi-chipper, maybe, we'll have a chance. :roll:

There are 12 Gym Leaders already (Nido, Darkkend, Jigglypuff, psycho_freak, Star, JBs-pikachu, RaichuLatias, papersun, Achilles, TheCyberMew, Mr. Saturn, sN0wBaLL). Even with that many, a lot of them are moderating 2 or 3 forums, so there's definitely room to expand.

That said, my argument has already been said, so I'll just quote:

Personally I think it'd be better to have Sports and TV/Movies/Books deleted and have them discussed in General Discussion, The others I think are fine. Just my opinion.

As for mods,I've seen some members that would be good mods, but i'm not the one that chooses them.

We're still on a trail basis with the new split general forums because the reaction has been fairly mixed. When we decide whether or not the four forums are valuable enough to keep around, that's when we'll appoint moderators, and you can probably expect some reshuffling and new mods then. But there's no point in assigning the jobs now if the forums might not be there in a few days, right?

I agree Frost. But so far, in my opinion, they look like they're doing good.

I think so too, like a Multimedia discusion.

I'm fine with a Multimedia Discussions section to discuss about TV, music and movies, but I think books and other games should be discussed in the General Discussion section. C'mon, there are so many interests in this world, if several new topics start to appear about every interest, are we gonna create one forum for each one of them? No offense to anyone, just illustrating what I feel, which may be right or wrong.

As for what RL said about new mods, I've seen some potential members too. But actually, no one is responsible for choosing new mods. Well, maybe the Elite Four, who appoints them eventually, but generally the existing mods will be seeking one another's opinion before electing the best candidate(s). So cross your fingers, those dreamers out there. Your dream might just come true. It isn't hard, seriously

you mean... that topic i posted ("My Psypoke Dreams...") the day i joined psypoke could come true? wow! but, even if it dosn't come true, i'd still like some others to get the chance to become mods. if someone else got the mod job, i'd congratulate them. well, i hope the new forums succed!
