When I get a new dog I'm probably going to train it using Pokemon like commands, just for the fun of it, unless there would be a use? I know my cousin had a dog they just randomly taught to dig when you say dig! and rip up a patch of grass when you say mow the grass!

I'm thinking of things like "evade!" or "dodge!" Maybe agility, you know when dogs go spastic and just run around like crazy?..lol

Discuss.

Also, make some suggestions of your own. :D

:O Best...idea...evar! Ah, why didn't I train my puppy to do this? We spent more time on "shake" and "down" then cool stuff.

I say you teach a dog normal commands, but call them different things. Like Tackle/Take Down (jumps on people), Rollout ("roll over"), Rest ("sit/lay down"), Scratch ("shake"), Roar ("speak"), Pursuit ("sick 'em/get 'em" for hunting/police dogs), Dig (what you said), and Bite (self explanitory). That would kick so much ass.

My dog actually jumps straight up 5-6 feet in the air for no reason sometimes. Maybe I can teach him Bounce...

Oh heck! I wish I'd thought of this! Of course, I suppose very few people would get it -- still YOU would know!

Wouldn't that be more like Water Gun or Waterfall?

This would be about the only time that Growl and/or Howl would be useful!

Rapid Spin = the dog runs in a circle chasing his tail

Just don't teach him Selfdestruct!!!

OMG, ROFL

Dogs are rather intelligent animals... to an extent. Remember that domestic dogs are common in every western culture. Dogs understand many languages, so to speak, which means they only understand what they're taught. Even if the command you teach them doesn't make much sense in English (or does, but in a different context) what you order them to do will still be performed if taught properly. As long as the phonetics aren't incredibly similar, you could teach your dog to do multiple actions based off Pokémon moves.
