Did you write that? I have no clue who Guy Fawkes was or what the Gunpowder Treason was, so I'm going to google it. Ah, the wonders and horrors of google. Back on topic, I liked it. I don't understand a third of it, but I like it.Now I know what you were talking about. And that you didn't make it up, except for that last part. I still like it with the tune that i gave it.

Spoiler I knew that. I applaud Fawkes's courage not his actions.

I applaud Fawkes's courage not his actions. well then a) you're going completely against the spirit of Bonfire Night, which is meant to represent loyalty to the constitutional monarchy and Protestant unity against the papists and b) he wanted to destabilise the government (which was, for its time, not particularly draconian or autocratic) and assassinate King James I which would completely bugger up the country. England had somehow managed to deal with the issue of Elizabeth I leaving no heir and the transfer of power to the Stuart family was relatively unproblematic. but nevertheless, if the plot had succeeded then the country would have devolved into chaos and we would have probably become Spain's bitch. it takes guts to do what Fawkes did, but his motives were very questionable.

Questionable indeed, but courageous nonetheless. I would say I am completely for Bonfire Night, but him wanting to kill the Pope has always irked me so I pretend that part doesn't exist. I knew he wanted to destabilize the country, still like I said I admire his courage for trying to change the government, but his methods and intentions were wrong.
