My personal best was a Glalie, as he had stats that were quite equal. A banette, as he had high attack, spc attack and speed, making him an excellent starter. I also had a high defensive pokemon, namely an aggron. His high defense and considerable attack did the trick. What would be your ideal team of 3?

here's a team which has worked pretty well for me in the battle frontier.
"Sapphire"
lum berry
calm mind
thunderbolt
ice beam
psychic
"Tremor"
choice band
earthquake
meteor mash
brick break
arial ace
(sometimes shadow ball as an alternative for brick break)
"Cuddles"
leftovers
curse
rest
body slam
shadow ball
tactics: blast with latios's special attacks. try and get a calm mind in, especially if you predict a special attack (even ice, dark, or dragon) or status inflicting move. if it faints, then blast with metagross. if there are 2 or 3 pokemon left, maybe avoid earthquake and brick break since there is a chance they could send in a ghost/flyer/levitator. if they both faint, then send in old trusty Cuddles to finish the job. boy i wish i had a sould dew for my latios. then i could replace calm mind with dragon claw and its only real weaknesses would be mirror-coaters.

That doesnt really matters, since the team isn´t really good. A better way to go super effective on almost every pokemon type is:
@Lum or lefties
-Ice beam
-Thunderbolt
-Earthquake
-Crunch
There you have, counter 13 types in one pokemon, and tyranitar is better than your whole team. This idea was posted by peanut.
Your blissey-steelix combo is really good, give steelix plenty of defence and iron defence over screech and you have a great special wall and a great physical wall.

i agree. just having supereffective against everything doesnt mean you will win. especially if your pokemon are slow and fragile. also, umbreon isnt going to do much damage with a dark type move (and it cant learn crunch anyway - are you sure you dont mean bite or something?) besides, STAB does 1.5 times damage and supereffective does 2 times. sometimes its worth learning STAB moves which are consistent rather than weaker moves which you anticipate will be supereffective.

My battle frontier team is , , and .
Very well rounded team (one special sweeper, one physical sweeper, and one tank).
Also, when me and my friend team up in the battle tower (multi link battle), he has a minun and I have a plusle. Plusle replaces gorebyss, btw.

My super annoying team:
Umbreon @ Brightpowder
Toxic/Sand-Attack
Double Team
Baton Pass
Faint Attack
Gyarados @ Brightpowder
Return
Attract/Thunder Wave
Dragon Dance
Water Pulse
Ninjask @ Brightpowder
Baton Pass
Double Team
Sand-Attack/Toxic
Aerial Ace
Strategy:
Start out with Ninjask or Umbreon, then Double Team fully and, if you are
using Shedninja, you can also throw in a few Sand-Attacks if you are in
game, otherwise use Toxic. Then, if it's something that that Pokemon can't
handle it's self, Baton Pass in Gyarados, use Thunder Wave/Attract
(Preferably T-Wave), and, if you need to, use a few Dragon Dances and
Return them to their death! As far as I know, the only thing you'll need to
watch out for are Hazers.

Metagross isn't a space pokemon.
They are not only a beautful team but a defense team.

Actually, Metagross is considered a space Pokemon with a move like
Meteor Mash and it's looks.

thats a nice team. although since two Pokemon are weak against psychic, it might be a good idea for your third to be psychic resistent. also, why did you give your charizard a pecha berry instead of a lum berry? is there some kind of status ailment you dont mind it having? im not mocking - just curious. eg some people use chesto berry because they want to rest and wake up, but dont mind if they get paralised (etc) first.

I suggest giving Heracross an adamant nature and replace Rock Slide with Bulk Up. Brave is the WORST nature for a physical sweeper; seeing as it lowers speed - which is a key aspect in physical sweepers. Like cuddles said, you need some pokemon that is strong (or immune) to psychic. Perhaps Umbreon? Your choice.

But don't most physical sweepers have horrible speed?

No. Physical sweepers need good speed so they can knock out foes before they can even lift a finger. That's why Heracross needs the extra boost of speed. You know. So it can pwn like my Heracross does.

i would have to say
because they are all dual-type (except for gardevoir, which can learn thunder-type moves) and none of the types are used a second time
