I'm confused about what the Pokemon move, Psych Up does.

For example, say i have Psyduck and the opponent has a Cleffa. If the Cleffa used Charm, my attack lowers by two. If I used Psych Up, would nothing happen because Cleffa never raised its stats, or would my attack go back up by two to normal like Cleffa's? Please help my problem. Thanks.

No what would happen is your Psyduck would copy Cleffa's base stats.

Base stats? off course not, your psyduck would copy cleffa´s stat changes (positive or negative) and since cleffa hasn´t changed it´s stats.... nothing happens.

Correction - in netbattle (seeing as it sometimes changes for in-game) here's what happened:

Ninjask used swords dance 2 times (+4 stat up)
Mawile used 1 swords dance. (+2 stat up)

It used psych up, and only got a +4 Attack boost.

What does this mean?
When you use psych up, you copy the grade of stat boost.

Your golducks stats would return to 0 level for everything.
That means that the attack would be as though it never changed :0

But would that also mean if a Regigigas used Psych Up when his attack and speed finished lowering, on a Pokemon with neutral stats, that he would get neutral stats too? I want to know because in P/D, TM 77 is Psych Up and he can learn it.

No, I would recommend using Skill Swap. Can Regigigas learn Skill Swap?

No, Regigigas can't learn Skill Swap. That's why I wanted to know if Psych Up would work too. Guess not. Sorry for double posting

Indeed. Diamond and Pearl include all of the Hoenn TMs, and a new set of TMs.

Yes Cellblock there is now 92 TMs and there are 8 HMs, because D/P introduces ALOT of new moves that I nor probably many people else would think of an attack with that name, Like the ice move "Avalanche".

There's an ice move called Avalanche?! What will Nintendo think of next?

Oh and by the way "a lot" is two words

Yes, there is an Avalanche. If I remember correctly it is sort of like an Ice-type Crunch. Just look at one of the new HMs, Climb Rocks. :P

Good point. The word "Surf" doesn't exactly remind me of a giant wave and how can bubbles hurt anyone?
