Hey guys, like most of us i've beatent he Elite 4 and am getting ready to train up some guys in their EV... to get some higher leveled moves you need to level up your pokemon (Duh) after their out of their eggs..

Anyways i found out all about the lucky egg and how rare it is and all so I decided with my new pokemon radar I was going to chain a chancy ...

I'm gonna get a lucky egg that's final... thing is I would like to chat while doing so, so i dont blow my brains out from bordom

First off I can't even seem to get a real chain, I usually get chancy once or twice in a row and then he's gone... I don't know what i'm doing wrong... I'm trying on route 210, and i've been trying for the last 3 days where i've vsed 40 or more chancys... I just learned about chaining yesterday but even after the radar i can't seem to chain him.. has anyone been able to chain chancy, or anything sorta rare? If so can you give me some pointers

Also don't hate me for this but i don't believe in chaining = shining, feel free to explain why this isn't true or whatever if you have a good reason... or proof.

Notice when you used the radar, different patches of grass rustle? The farther away you have to go to a patch, the more likely it is to continue a chain. Thats why having lots of Repels helps when PokeRadaring.

Remember, its not a guarantee that the patch farthest away from you will continue the chain, it only increases the likelyhood of that happening.

if i save after i meet a chancy and then the chain breaks and i restart do i keep my chances of finding another chancy?

Chains make it more likely to get the same pokemon more then once right?

Just in case you'll eventually give up on chaining (like I did ), here's how I still got a few lucky eggs:

Get a Pokémon with "Compound Eyes" ability (Increases chance of wild Pokémon holding an item; I used Butterfree), teach it "Thief" or "Covet" and put in in first place of your party. Go to route 209, walk through grass until a Chansey appears (might take some time), use thief. The chance of receiving a lucky egg is still 5% with this method, but you don't have to catch the Chansey to do it.

Not the most time-saving method, but like I said, just in case.

Actually, dont bother with CP-Eyes. Use a pokemon with Frisk instead. Then you can see the hold item at the start and not waste time with Thieving random pokes that arent holding anything.

And I am 99% sure that if you reset the game, the chain will reset, so dont bother.

I can't stop getting chains, it's annoying. I cheated and traded for my lucky egg .

It's day 40 and about 20 or so oval stones later still no stupid freaking lucky egg.

Anyone else have any tips? lol... who has frisk? I'll probably look it up after i post this anyways.. but hey it might be fun to just talk about it... maybe we can all help each other increase the chances of getting a lucky egg...

On the upside... i finally got a twisted spoon on accident today... accidently caught an abra.. my little sister likes them lol and after yelling at her for not asking to use my **** I thanked her for being a pain in the ass

does twisted spoon = mind plate? I would think so

or you could do what I did to get a couple of them:
1 buy gale of darkness for the gamecube
2 beat the game
3 complete the lucky egg side quest
4 repeat at step 2

as far as i know banette is the only pokemon with frisk...you can use a banette with frisk and theif for stealing anything...it could actually be very effecive for trickbanding as well...you know what item you're gonna get too

on a side note, do lluvdisc really have a 50% chance of holding a heart scale in rse? cuz ive faced so many with a poke with thief and i havent gotten a single heart scale...

I got a light ball when I randomly caught a Pikachu, it is now the raichu on my team. I love that when it happens .

Back to chaining, do it when it's a mansion pokemon, they show up in droves if you even see one with the pokeradar. Bannete has frisk.
