FLY BAD.

I like my Mewtwo.
Timid
-Psychic
-Aura Sphere
-Shadow Ball
-Recover

As we know, Aura Sphere + Shadow Ball is better than BoltBeam, because it covers every single type combination that currently exists, whereas BoltBeam is resisted by Lanturn and Magnezone (probably something else too).

um...what if most/all of our competitive pokes have standard movesets?

BTW, Aerial Ace over Fly, and EQ/Fire Blast(for Skarm, though you don't see as many in Ubers) over Thunder.

Sion9, if he were to do what you said, he'd be copying one of my Rayquaza's movesets.

that is standard (or close to it). There's no rule saying you can't use standard sets...

Well, true, but hey, just saying. Meh, I have to use standard sets cause I stink badly at making my own. Just a little question; how would a recycle+fling Togekiss with King's rock work?

Probably works okay as an annoyer. I'd stick Thunder Wave on there too, for the turns you use Recycling.

For a long time my favorite moveset was, sub, protect, leech seed, gigadrain.

On a ludicolo. I once drained a Weezing to death with it.

But now that I'm playing against more serious guys I've had to drop it.

I'm working on some fun baton pass combos, the team will be far from perfect, but I think as far as baton passing goes it'll be pretty good. I'll share some when they've become reality.

yes you would. when i fought you, your gallade had confusion......

and yeah, thunder isnt real good on rayquaza. even if rain dance is in effect it is still only 70% accurate (airlock). and ill add another vote to AA over fly.

the only moveset i can even claim as being partly my own is the one i had for my gengar on netbattle. after many many many battles, i finally decided on the move types i needed it to have:

gengar @ leftovers
thunderbolt
fire punch
HP(grass)
destiny bond

i just wanted him to be a special sweeper. and i picked those moves (with the rest of my team in mind) as they seem to be the most common 4x weakness types - fire=scizor/forretress, grass=swampert, elec=gyarados. now with the new physical/special split, fire punch is no good. so i guess it will have to be energy ball and hp fire (if i could EVER be bothered to breed a "real" pokemon with the right HP). maybe i can sacrifice a fire move for stab shadow ball. anyway, it works for me, and i came up with it without consulting any other sources. apart from that my pokemon are all pretty standard.....

I just can't get over my Dusclops in Emerald. It is a vicious Toxi-trapper that knows

Toxic
Mean Look
Double Team
Protect

Once it has trapped someone, it boosts its evasion as it watches the defending Pokemon slowly die. The next defending Pokemon sent out has a tough time hitting Dusclops as its Evasion is already pretty high, and Pressure just adds to the chaos.

It has sort of been a dream of mine to raise a Toxi-trapper, so that's why I'm proud of it.
