5556 or whoever u are...
i totally agree with u
besides...
they need to become more creative with the games
more badges
and no more then 450+ pokemon
it gets discouraging after a while
infact
i woulda say no more then what they already have
probably they should say some pokemon died and new ones were made u know.
and.... more places to go and things to do
they should put quests in!! u know like u talk to people and they say like "get me a grass pokemon at lvl 40 or higher and u get a badge u know!! that would be sweet!
hit 222222222222222 if u agree w/ me.

I think pokemon could stay for atleast 5 years doing the exact same thing and even longer if they added new feautures the problem is is nintendo has to figure out how to tell the world that I mean alot of people think pokemon is just a kidish fad but would love it if they gave it a chance

pokemon is going to be around for a while, i mean sure eventually the games wont come out as often and all but there will still be people wanting to play them, pokemon offers something to almost every type of person you can think of, and i do think that a VR pokemon game would be AWESOME!!! i have been trying to think of a way that you could give a person complete access to a 3D pokemon enviroment (i already have plans but they are, as of now, too large and expensive for most people to buy...) you could even put in your games (r/b/y/g/s/c/Ru/Sa/Fr/Lg/E/P/D) into slots so you could use your own pokemon and walk aroud with them and such, also you could make it so theat you can catch legendaries that, normally require nintendo events in VR (imagines being body slammed by wailord...) maybe i should try to something about this idea... make it like a giant VR pokemon arcade type thingy... my idea anyway

hm... I say 1,002,465,198,540,120,910,654,029,849 days, yes that many, and then 10 years after that some guy from nintendo will find a pokemon game and re-release it, and then we got another 1,002,465,198,540,120,910,654,029,849 days, so it's going to last for a very very long time.

As long as game play options continue to evolve and they have a willing audience, pokemon can continue as long as pokemon can be generated. Even if the main games hit a few stops, side games/quests can feed the game. Thats how I see it at least.

This was a great post. And one thing in this post I would emphazise on. "And doesn't make catching 'em all too impossible by releasing lost more Pokemon". That's why Hoenn kinda threw me off just a little bit in the beginning. I like it the way it is now, they released only a small number of new Pokemon, Like Rukario, everybody's wondering about it, creating Hype about ONE poke, instead of "200 new pokemon to catch! Woo woo woo!" and simular.

About the VR pokemon game....I think the pokemon game I have dreams of being made would go perfect for it. It would be called "Pokemon Breeder" where there is more emphasis on raising a pokemon like a pet then training, even though you still have to train. It would be like adding an Animal Crossing twist to the game we already love.

I'd say...about a decade or two. This world is changing fast...and tends to forget its past.

That would be pretty cool. That way you wouldn't have to fight with them all, but treat them more like...a dog or something.

I agree with all you "optimistic" folks,
don't worry about the future just enjoy the present. and past. plus it's not like the entire Nintendo company'll crash because of their new project:

EXPERIMENT 4 We have just made a sinthetic(spelling) pokemon! it is currenly kept in our lab in Japan MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It will last as long as we want it to. I dont mean put Pokemon Ruby in a time capsule for 20 years. I mean if you like it, then you have kept it alive. (Barely, but, oh well) Get my point?
Note: If you have read the above and have no clue what Im talking about, neither do I. :P

It will last forever even if they do make more pokemon. In my opinion they should just keep making more and more pokemon, but after Pearl and Diamond, they should stop encouraging the "Catch 'em All" motto. It would be cool to have 1,000 pokemon, but having to get totodile by getting 999 of them? I don't think so.

My freind an I keep telling each other they should make a pokemon MMORPG. They could do like all the others and release updates every once in a while that add new areas, new pokomon, new moves, etc. I think this would be wicked awesome, and as much as I hate pay to play games, I think I might actually plunk down for a pokemon MMORPG.

i think pokemon would last longer if they didnt bring so many new pokemon so quick.
Because it would make the games more harder.

Like FR LG There hard enough as it is

I've got a feeling that it'll last forever, nintendo keeps coming out with new pokemon and new version of games too, I think it'll be a never ending process.

I think Pokemon will last long, but it will probably die out when something better comes out. As long as Psypokians exist, we will know Pokemon has not lost hope.

Pokemon... Well it depends how you mean 'last'...

Pokemon will always be remembered, there will always be the odd few collectors that have heaps of pokemon toys in the decades to come.

I think there are two possiblities of how Pokemon will go from now:
1. In the next decade Pokemon toys shoot up to the top of every boy's/girl's Christmas list and it becomes suddenly popular and a worldwide craze again.
2. Pokemon will die out but the odd collectorswill be around as I said.

Anything could happen, nobody knows how long Pokemon shall last.

I think about 90 years because if it stops before then I will be on the rampage. (News bulliten) There appears to be a crazy guy running around shouting rise brothers and FORCE them to continue pokemon. Plus it is my favorite game. Except for some 360 and xbox games
