Post subject:  Which attack that annoys you the most?
I really feel annoyed when my opponent started to use attacks that affects accuracy like sand attack,flash and double team. Trust me, you really feel annoyed when all your attacks start to go miss. It's just a waste of time and PP.

splash. DEFINITELY splash! clearly gamefreak (and japan) doesnt get the fact that THIS DOES NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

The move that really annoys me is close combat. Seriously, 120 power/100 accuracy is just too much. Sure, it lowers both defenses, but pokemon that use close combat don't care about that, they're just sweepers, usually holding a choice scarf, who kill anything that isn't a physical wall or ghost. I know a lot of people like it, and I'll admit that I use the move on my teams too, but I strongly feel that it is completely broken. If it caused recoil, or sharply lowered attack, it'd be ok, but for some reason, this 120 power/100 accuracy move is just better than all of the others.

For some reason, when people talk about competitive battling, they only think about the RPGs. Don't forget that there are also other stragetic games, like PMD.

In PMD2, the ones that annoy me THE most are Earth Power, Discharge and Agility.

Earth Power is just plain annoying. While I am busy trying to to recruit Raikou in the Concealed Ruins, or recruit Giratina in the World Abyss, or recruit Groudon in the Shimmer Desert, or recruit Mewtwo and Entei in the Dark Crater, some Nidoqueen/Nidoking/Camerupt always appears and starts hitting me with Earth Power. Earth Power isn't as annoying as Discharge, because I'm a Salamence, but ground still hits flying types. There's also that chance of my Special Defense knocking down, making Earth Power fall down even more. It's also irritating when I'm using my Infernape, because then it's super effective, and my Infernape's only level 79.

Discharge for basically the same reason. You get them from Porygon in the Temporal Tower, Mareep from the Final Maze, Lanturn/Chinchou from Surrounded Sea, Miracle Sea and Bottomless Sea, and just about everything uses Discharge in the Amp Plains. It's plain annoying, especially when I get paralyzed after the Discharge.

Agility is the horror of monster houses. You get them everywhere, from Metagross in the Temporal Tower, Fearow from Mt. Travail, Swellow from a lot of dungeons, Scyther from Mystifiying Forest/Mystery Jungle, the Sceptile family from Mystery Jungle, and just about everywhere else. There's always some Pokémon that knows Agility and speeds the entire monster house at twice your speed.

I HATE TOXIC! You always die RIGHT IN FRONT of the Pokémon Center! There's also all the stat lower moves, and Fake Out.

I kind of like Memento because only the enemy is dumb enough to use it. Yay for NHKO! (No hit Knock out)

Missingno is right about R/B/Y wrap.

And then there's Bounce, Dig, Fly, and Dive. Dig is not so bad because I love EQ.

I would have to saaaaaaaaaay.........

Dragon Dance.

In-game, hardly nobody uses it except Drake and Winona (In Emerald anyway).
So, when you meet someone who DOES use it, it catches you off-guard.
Especially in Battle Frontier.

In PMD, I'd have to say anything that goes in a straight line, like Bubble or Flamethrower.

I agree fully with AKART on the whole PMD2 attacks, even if I haven't managed to get to half of the places he mentioned. As for the RPG's, I really hate the move double team. In Emerald, it took me so long just to take out Wallace's Ludicolo. Stupid Double Team...wasted a good majority of my pokemon's PP.

I agree with you zibit13. I also have the same problem you have in emerald. That ludicolo really is a waste of time, batery power and pp.

Oh look, we have a winner! Wrap, FireSpin, Bind, and Clamp (RBY only) are by far the most annoying attacks ever. Especially when they're used with Thunder Wave or something, which Pokemon Stadium just loves to abuse.

Oh god yes! I used to get so mad at stadium when it would spam FireSpin. I feel your pain Krisp.

i hate double team in all the games and my least favorite in the first two generations was harden. IT TOOK 4 MINUTES TO FAINT A METAPOD. :frustrated:

I feel that pain and agony too.
Also, I hate how Wobbuffet's Counter almost killed my Blaziken > . <
Double Team is not awesome if, they use it and your attack misses, You use it but it doesn't miss. How stupid the game favors the foe :evil: .

Double Team, I spend a lot of my time in the Battle Tower but too many matches had spammed Double Team all day.

In Mystery Dungeon games, Earth Power. It's horrible, it forces me to waste Hydro Pump PP just to get rid of something that repeatedly uses Earth Power and ALWAYS lowers Special Defense.
