Well I think it’s a good idea give a name like lucky for the lucario. For the blissey I recommend something like blissy or just bliss or even bless, that’s a good name for a blissey with healing attacks.
A good way to give nicknames is using its species like base. Another way is using its abilities on battles, like lucky, it gives the idea of a good pokemon, 'cause he maybe be really lucky.

I have a male Aggron but back when it was Lairon i just called it larry (but not with nickname) and now at lvl 100 i finally nicknamed it because i called it that anyways

I recently have named some of mine after amusement park rides. Like Excaliber, Renegade, Wild Thing, Steel Venom, Chaos, Enterprise, Wave, and Rip Tide.

i nicknamed my female Garchomp: Draconia, my Male Gardevoir: Apocalypse, my Female Luxray: Electra, my Blissey: Serenity, my Male Lucario: Excalibur, and my Bronzong is Lucifer because it will annoy the s**t out of your pokemon, raise the Underworld upon your team, and resist so many attacks. (it uses Calm Mind & Iron Defense, Gyro Ball, and Psychic while holding Lagging Tail) plus it has Levitate, so its only weakness is Fire....Pwnage!

Which is a type I always have on my team. Unless of course,
I have a Pokemon with a fire-type move.
Anyways, when I first got FireRed, I named my Charmander
"Flame Boy." Lol, yes that is the name of the fatties on the Spider-Man 2
GBA. Anyways, when it evolved to Charizard, I changed it to
"Fire Master" and got it up to Lvl. 100 sometime after beating the
E4. But then, some jackass saved a new game over it.
But his children are scattered across a couple games. (Emerald and Ruby)
On Ruby, Charley, who is a son, had a son and a daughter(rare, I know.),
and I nicknamed them "Flame Boy" and "Flame Girl" for some reason.
And when they evolve, I probably will change their nicknames.

I nicknamed my Typhlosion "Typhy"... really gave that one a lot thought.

I also nickname my team after their elemental types. like...

Slowbro- Confusio
Poliwrath- Hydrus

I was thinking of naming my "Empoleon" "Dynamite." I love that movie.

I just came up with all the names for my upcomming team:

- Caporegime (the leader of a mob 'house')
- Roswell (Like Roswell, New Mexico... UFOs and junk)
- Zapateado (a mexican dance like tapdancing)
- Florence Nightengale (you know, the famous nurse)
- Zippy (okay, pretty obvious)
- ipconfig/? (gives you info on the ipconfig command in Windows)

Sometimes I'll browse through DeviantArt or some similar site and use the more interesting usernames. I usually find good ones.

I named my Rhydon "Osbourne". That stomping animation of his looks hilariously unstable.

I nickname all my pokemon.. But I' don't know what to name my Eevee. I'm turning it into a leafeon or an espeon. Its a Male.

For Leafeon, how about "Synth" as in Photosynthesis (since its Pokedex entry describes Leafeon as capable of it) and for Espeon "Synch" (as in its ability "Synchronize)
