Right, so I decided to finally nickname my Pokemon.

Luxray - Aaron: My favorite male name, and since I adore Luxray, why not?

Staraptor - Aiden: It's a cool name, and I'm friends with this guy who has the same name (even though we haven't talked in God knows how long). And also, Aaron and Aiden sound alike in a way, and I use Luxray and Staraptor in double battles often, so meh. ;x

Torterra - Kaden: No real reason.

Togekiss (Togepi currently) - Agape: Agape means love, and when you think of it, TogeKISS has some relations to love, don't you think? :O

Jynx - Ai: Ai means love also, and Jynx blahblachblahetcyougetit.

Well, on my XD, I have resolved to name all of my Pokemon after DragonLance/Fire Emblem 8 characters. My team is:

{espeon} Eirika because she is a "lord", and is leader of my team

{delcatty} Gilthas. I was going to name him Silvanoshei because he's spoiled, but I ran outta room, so I named him after Silvanoshei's cousin, who is a "weak" king

{gardevoir} Amelia, because she has great potential

{butterfree} Lauranathalasa, Laurana for short, because I liked her name and they are both strong fighters

{ninetales} Jenna, because Jenna has fire magic

{spheal} Saleh, because they have similar natures, and I've always thought of Anima magic as ice and water and stuff

If anyone can tell me which names are from DragonLance and which ones are from Fire Emblem 8, I will give you a cookie!

I'm going to guess that the first two are FE8 as well as the 4th...The others are DL....I don't know the games, but since you said that the first to are king and queen, and most FE games are about kings and queens and other parlament ranks or whatever, that is why I think of that....

Here are what I nicknamed mine:

Male Butterfree: Buzz

Male Pidgeotto: Aerospace

Male Wartortle: Aqua Shock

Female Kadabra: Chasm (This is meant for Alakazam, I just haven't evolved it yet)

Male Pikachu: Pikapal642 (That has got to be the lamest nickname, but I gave myself permission to be lame :D )

Female Vulpix: Flare Kitz (Kitz as in kitsune, Japanese for fox...I think...)

I like them, but I don't think they are too good...

How about Sudowoody? lol maybe not. I like Masquerade.

For your Lanturn, why not Shockua, or Shockqua, or something?
( Shock + Aqua )

I had many more given to my Pokemon on older versions (all of the above, except Lugia, are from my Emerald version) but perhaps the strangest was my water-type Rhydon named "7" on my Red version (He knew Water Gun Water Gun, and Surf). It was the result of my friend trading his Blastoise, named Bob, to me from his Japanese Red version, long before we knew better.
It was especially strange because you could not use numerals in your nicknames in Generation I.

Starit or Superstar are OK, but how about StaryNight?
Or even Starman (from Mario) ?

IMO, anything is better than Leafeon. I mean, come on, Nintendo!

I dunno...Salad...Toss Salad....Veggieman..lol seriously, try Verdan (from the word "verdant," which means green with vegetation--can also mean inexperienced, though)...nice male name, I think. Or Viridia (from "viridian") if your Leafeon's a female--sounds feminine to me.
Those are my top two picks. If I had one, I'd name it either of those.[/i]

Here's my main team's nicknames:

Salamence --- Lucifer, after the demon.

Sceptile --- Jiangshi, after the vampiric zombies of Chinese Folklore. (btw he's a Drainer so he's like...a vampire? O.o)

Skarmory --- Exoraptor, Exoskeleton + Raptor

Jolteon --- Voltaran, Volt + Taranis (the Celtic God of Thunder)

Lucario --- Anubis, Egyptian God of Death...and he looks like him.

Togekiss --- Palewind, Pale + Wind

I hoping to change Palewind, Anubis and Voltaran's nicknames. Any suggestions?
