Well for HeartGold, I decided to name the six members (save for Scizor) of my team after Organization XIII members.

Typhlosion - Axel
Lanturn - Larxene
Crobat - Xaldin
Umbreon - Saix
Scizor - X Caliburn
Mamoswine - Vexen

And other Pokémon I was considering for my Starter include Bayleef/Marluxia and Feraligatr/Demyx.

Not as interesting, but here's my Platinum team:

Gallade - Alamos
Dusknoir - GrimReaper
Yanmega - Dragon Fly
Magnezone - Zero

Well . . . if you haven't come up with a name for her yet;

Bora - a cold north wind in the region of the Adriatic (or Boreas - the north wind in Greek Mythology)

Crivetz - a cold northeasterly wind in Romania

Friagem - a cold wind blowing out of the south polar regions

Melteme - "the bad tempered one" - a northerly wind in the Aegean

Pittarak - a northwesterly wind in Greenland

There's a Name Rater in Lavendar Town and Goldenrod City. He's in the purple tent.

As for Froslass, how about "Ice Queen"?

this is just my team's names, it is just the japanese word for their type, they are all guesses though(can't trust the internet for everything

SWAMPERT: Mizu/Chikyu

METAGROSS: Kokoro/Hagane

SALAMENCE: Ryu/Hiko

GENGAR: Gosuto/Dokusei

SNORLAX: Nomaru

ENTAI/HO-OH(if i can get a ho-oh then i am putting it in): Hi/Hiko/Niji

i think fire is wrong coz hi is also yes, but who cares, if the on-looker dosen't know, they won't care.

CH'DING the {farfetch'd} ? (Yes I used the one from the in game trade
Smaak the {nidoqueen} ? (means zest in dutch)
Bruce the {hitmonlee} ? (as in Bruce Lee)
Fuococoda the {vulpix} ? (means Flame tail in Spanish)
Purpurmowe the {muk} ? (means Purple Gull in German)

These are the nicknames of the eleven Pokemon I have fully trained. As you know, my nicknames for Pokemon are often Japanese because that's kind of my 'nicknaming system.'

- Tadahiro the Male Blastoise (it's a Japanese name meaning 'Faithful Ocean.' It kind of makes out Blastoise to be loyal)
- Hinata the Female Victreebel (Japanese name meaning 'Sunny Place.' I originally thought it meant 'Flower' but I don't want to change it now because it would feel weird.)
- Masae the Female Vaporeon (Japanese name meaning 'Blessed with Elegance.' I always thought Vaporeon was an elegant Pokemon.)
- Tadao the Male Jolteon (Japanese name meaning 'Loyal Man.' I hatched him from an egg so I thought it fit.)
- Masaru the Male Typhlosion (I've now made it tradition to name my male starter Masaru because it's a Japanese name meaning 'Victory.')
- Chitose the Female Dragonite (Japanese name meaning 'Ascend with the Strength of a Thousand.' I found it fitting because she can fly and because she's really strong.')
- Mirai the Female Absol (Japanese name meaning 'Future.' Absol can tell if something bad will happen. So I thought it was fitting.)
- Kichriou the Male Togekiss. (Japanese name meaning 'Lucky.' When he hatched, I named him that because Togepi are lucky.)
- Onryo the Male Gengar (not a Japanese name. But in Japan, an Onryo is a malevolent spirit. So it was fitting.)
- Mitsuye the Female Ampharos (Japanese name meaning 'Branch of Light.' I got the idea from the lighthouse Ampharos.)
- Kiyoto the Male Gyarados (Japanese name meaning 'Noble Person.' I always thought Gyarados to be pretty noble Pokemon.)
