Yes, I must say that I am a softy when it comes to my starter. Nothing like that initial bond that's formed at the beginning of the game. I suprised myself in Emerald though. After defeating the Elite Four, I put my Blaziken--bless her heart--aside. I leveled her up a bit after that, mainly for Battle Frontier, but I began to see more potential in my other teammates. I haven't done this before. I now have four--going on five-- Level 100s, and Blaziken is still only, like, Lv. 73.

Now, what was it Karen of the Elite Four said? "Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon. That is only the foolish perception of trainers. Truly skilled trainers should go with their favorites . . . . (emphasis added) " something along those lines?
