you should've ask the reason why they told you that. most of the people think that powerful Pokemon are HETROSEXUAL.

The person who told you that probably just got beaten by one =/

Seriously, if you don't like it, don't use it. I don't think there's much room for discussion here, but I'll keep it open for a while longer. Please post constructively. And Pokemon-bashing is strictly prohibited.

lol It's not cowardly to use any pokemon, except posibly using a team of uber-stat pokemon like Groudon or Rayquaza against a normal team :/

Metagross is not uber or cowardly and can be dealt with by normal means. A Fire Blast is enough to K.O. it.

Metagross is not a cowardly choice. sN0wBaLL is right that the person got beaten by one. The only time anyone is a coward when playing pokemon is when they have most of their pokemon as ubers. Up to three ubers is alright, but four to six is over doing it.

It depends on how you use Metagross: if you use it because of its skill and varied moves, then you are just using a pokemon in a normal way. But if you have no idea of skill and just use power, then that could seem that you are cowering behind your Metagross. Metagross is not for cowards, but it certainly appeals to them.

Erm, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most people use Pokemon due to their power? I would never choose Lombre over Charizard, even though I like Lombre more. Charizard is just more powerful than Lombre, that's all.

On topic, Metagross is NOT a coward's Pokemon, because cowards don't normally take the effort to level up a Pokemon to level 55 (or whatever it is, i can't remember) and give it a beating moveset.

Sometimes I feel like people who use legendarys that you get at like lv. 70 can be cosidered as couards :? . You know teach it few TMs, WA-LA, you got yourself a good pokemon right there. Metagross is differant. You get a beldum at LV. 5 with all it knowing is take down which gives you recoil so you have to go BACK & FORTH from the tall grass to the pokemon center and put up with that untill LV. 20. Than you get to level 50 and you're all like FINALLY!!!

yet, theres always the daycare. :D

I don't think that Metagross is for cowards. I think that everybody can choose whatever pokemon he/she likes. People can choose/catch/train any pokemon they like.

Off-topic, maybe that some people think that Metagroos sucks, is because other very popular pokemon like: (spelling mistakes)

Heracross, Charizard, Garedvoir, Mew, Milotic, and much more... are much more liked, and popular than that person's own favorite pokemon.

How can anyone say that Metagross' are for cowards? It takes a lot of time and effort to get one of those. Do people call Tyranitar a Pokemon for cowards too? They're the same type of Pokemon.

What made this/these person(s) think this? {metagross} is one of the hardest hitting physical pokemon in the game. I don't really think any pokemon is for cowards for that matter.

My opinion is that if you need to Shark a ridiculously cheap moveset, then you're not a real trainer. I mean, where is the honor in that, anyway? It takes true skill to actually play fair and do it right. Sure, you might lose a few times, but you learn from those losses and therefore become a better trainer than anyone who Sharks uber PkMn.

There's no such thing as a cheap pokemon or being a coward for using any pokemon.

Everyone has an equal chance of getting all pokemon, even those from nintendo events. This person is the kind that won't play you on NB if certain pokemon are on your team.

Legendaries are cool. It's not cool when you have more than one on one team.

Minor legendaries like Tyrannitar Dragonite and Metagross are fine by me (and for some reason arcanine is considered a legendary)

I do believe Metagross is strong, but I don't think he (It?) is too strong. He has his own weaknesses just like every other Pokemon.

Metagross is very strong and has a great movepool and stats. that doesn't make him cheap or make you a coward if you use him though. I think that some poke'mon tactics can be annoying at times but using that tactic or pokemon is part of the game. That's what makes pokemon fun is that there is no unbeatable team or pokemon.

Cowardly, no. Cheap, to some extent.

I believe its really hard to be a coward in pokemon unless you use a team of all {wobbuffet} and {mewtwo}. It really depends on what pokemon your opponent is using. I mean, if you have a team of {caterpie} and your opponent has a team of {metagross}, them of course its obviously unfair. But of youre both using same-tier pokemon, then it should be generally equal.

Anyway, If your team is balanced and actually good, you should have pokemon or moves that can deal with pokemon like {metagross} or {tyranitar}, or at leat not get completely owned by them.

Pokemon ,in part, is a game of luck, having the right types at the right time. Metagross and other steel types have a lot of resistances, and its just a part of pokemon. If trainers don't feel like adjusting, they are bound to lose, which is probably why some think metagross is for cowards. Should his use be limited, somewhat. Metagross is just blessed with a powerful type combo that pokemon could use a lot more of.

Personally I don't like to use legendaries, I consider them as "collectables". I treasure them very much, but don't use them. As for quasi-legendaries (tyranitar, dragonite, and so forth) I like to use them. Like any other pokemon trainer, I like a strong team.

However, there is also the strategy I like a lot. I've used ninjask as a main team member two times. I'm now using a pretty standard sableye, and I actually use it as my main pokemon (instead of the starter). It has a ghost, a dark and a fighting move. Pretty standard, but a life-saver. So, power isn't everything.

In my opinion the pokemon on its own is only 50%. how you rasie them is the rest. And metagross isnt a cowardly pokemon. Its just another pokemon.

Metagross isn't cowardly! Anyone who is tough enough to raise a steel-type Pokemon from Lv. 5 to Lv. 55 is anything but that! Besides, I see only legendary Pokemon being cowardly, and legendaries are Pokemon that you battle by speaking to them, and they don't evolve.
