Okay, what do yall think is the best system, not a poll as there are too many, by systems I mean consoles, no gameboys, gamegears etc. Consoles don't have to be new or well known (F channel, Colecovision, Intelevision etc.) Rate them on Graphics, Gameplay, Graphics, Controllers (what you liked and disliked about it) and extra stuff. For me,
The Atari 2600
Old system but has 2 of my 3 favorite games, Missle Command and Space Invaders. Horrid graphics but great games System looked pretty nice. Controllers were good, simple, easy to control and pretty comfortable (Joysticks) I never really liked the paddles and the Trak Ball was amazing as it gives great memories of playing games like milipede at the arcade, it is one of my favorite controllers because it is simple as can be, easy to control speed and brings great memories.

My favorite would be Game Boy, but since you're asking about consoles, I'll say Sega Gengesis/Megadrive. It was my first console I ever owned, and I spent alot of my childhood playing it. Also, my favorite game ever was made for the Mega Drive; Sonic The Hedgehog 2. I also can remember a few times when I played it: When I was 5, my mom used to babysit my older cousins, and they'd always pick on me and wouldn't let me watch rugrats on the cable TV. So I went in the other room and played my Sega all day (: It'll always be my favorite console, because no other system can replace the memories I shared with it.

Best platform? Super NES.

In my opinion, almost every game on a Nintendo system that has a series is best on SNES.

- Super Mario World is the best Mario game.

- Link to the Past is the best Zelda game.

- Final Fantasy V (Famicom, close enough) and VI are the best Final Fantasies. Final Fantasy IV is all right, I guess...

- Super Mario RPG is the best Mario RPG.

Not to mention the fact that it has Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Super Mario All-Stars, and Secret of Mana.

About the only genre that's not strong on SNES is Racing. F-Zero and Mario Kart have much better games on later systems.

And multi-melee combat... *cough SSBMcough*
My fave console is (quoted from SSBM) "Nintendo's little bundle of joy" . A.k.a. GCN.

I do not own any system old or new, but i have been fortunate enough to have a fairly decent chance to play all three of the leading systems

X-Box is ok, but in my opinion the only game that is worth playing on it is Halo and i suck at halo

Game Cube is my second favorite because of all the cool games i have played on it and the memories I have of playing it with friends

PS2 is my favorite because of memories playing madden and smack down on it with my colledge age cousins

I liked the games of Super NES. They're mad fun. What's the one with the yoshi and the baby mario? And he rides on your back and if you get hurt he flies in a bubble? Yoshi's World? Anyway, that's my favorite game of SNES. The graphics weren't bad at all either, so it's an overall sound system.

Yoshi's Island. That IS a good game with decent music. You mean the one where the Yoshi's have to get Baby Mario back to his parents, right?

The Gamecube has treated me to the greatness of Wario Ware and paper Mario, but I can't forget the Dreamcast!

Soul Calibur, Shenmue, and Chu-Chu Rocket provided some great gaming.

Best gaming platform...

Am I allowed to say the computer? If so, I would say that the computer is by far the best. It is the perfect console for all games (Except for Fighting games, but I suppose there is a periphial you can use...), as well as generates the best graphics (With the right up dates), and by far the best sound.

Until the Revolution comes out, the Computer is by far the best gaming platform, just by what it can do with games.
