I've had a go at Star Fox Assault at my friend's house. It's a bit dodgy with fiddly controls and unrealistic graphics. I'd rather go for '007:Everything or Nothing' than this game.

Star fox is one of my all time favourites same with super smash brother and super smash brothers melee.

I don't know why everyone hated Star Fox: Assult. Sure it wasn't pure flying/tanking, but the on-foot controls and sections were well done. And it is by far the best multiplayer shoter on the 'cube I have seen so far (I wasn't as impressed with Echoes' multiplayer).

And I think that Assault needed to use the Booster Packs more!

The two Star Fox games for the Gamecube are great. When it comes to story Star Fox Adventure wins, but when it comes to the Battling Multi-player mode Star Assault has it is the best Star Fox game out there.

ive only had the chance to play starfox 64 (got it for the rumble) and it frickin rocked. having played it after rogue squadron, it felt at first like a step backwards and it really annoyed me that arwing traveled in a linear fashion or was trapped inside a really narrow box-like corridor forced only to make actions in an arcade-style shooter. after a while i got a real kick out of the luny voiceovers and the crazy anti-wolf team missions.
o and of course, im invincible with fox in ssmb64. shield is no doubt the best move in the ENTIRE GAME. it completely defecates all over kirby's final cutter.

Star Fox: Lylat Wars was hilarious. I want to buy back my N64 and that game just to play it one more time. It is soooo cool.
