I've listened to clips from their new album, and they do sound similar to some of their other songs. Cold Play has also cut back on their haunting and jumpy piano riffs in their songs. The new album, I believe Track 13, is the only song in which piano is included.
Their song writing has for the most part been decent, but I think they're cutting in more guitar, but
that type of guitar playing doesn't compare to the sound of four note piano riffs. It's sounding more of that MM tone. Which I guess it's okay, but it's nothing unique. I'll pick up the album here soon, but it's nothing exciting.
