I'm new here- this will be my first post!- so I'm going to take the time to share a few of my pokemon-related creative ventures.

Firstly, sprite edits! These are compilations of several different pokemon trainer sprites, with a few of my own bits added in.

-A sprite edit of me! Or at least what I'd like to look like- dying hair purple is harder than it looks! She's Gryph, my online persona.

-An edit of Cassius, one of my made-up pokemon characters.

And then the story, which is about Cassius- the character behind the sprite. It's sort of his origins story.

A long time ago, in Lavender town, there was a huge old mansion resting on the hillside. No one knew just how long it had been there, or even who had built it, but everyone knew it was haunted. In fact, they said it was home to a Haunter so powerful, that he could break into your mind and possess your soul should he desire to do so.

One day, a trainer came to Lavender town in search of this ghost. He was a strong trainer, with many powerful pokemon, but he wanted this ghost in his possession so he could cheat, using the Haunter to possess the minds of the gym leaders he still needed to face. Worse yet, he treated his six pokemon horribly. He trained them until they fainted, yelled at them when they lost a battle, and starved them when they refused to obey a command. All of his pokemon had been cautious about entering the mansion, and none of them had had a thing to eat for two days.

The trainer, however, had no such caution. Avoiding the pokemon center, he marched straight into the mansion the moment he saw it. "Come out you stupid ghost!" he called "You don't scare me for a minute!"

A short silence followed, and then every single door and window in the mansion locked its self shut.

The trainer panicked- he was trapped! Frantically, he tried to escape, but to no avail. Day after day he tried to find a way out, but the mansion was sealed off tight. He tried to scream for help, but the townspeople hadn't known there was a human going into the mansion, and they thought it was just a trick of the ghost.

A pokemon, like any other living creature, needs food to survive. The trainer's pokemon begged him to share what little food he had with him, but he refused. Eventually, one by one, his pokemon died, but not before they received a midnight visit from the mansion's ghost, and struck a deal with him.

The trainer lasted for two more days, after all his pokemon had passed on. Just when he was on the brink of dying from starvation, he heard a voice.

"For years you have denied your pokemon food, care and love. You have worked them to the point of exhaustion, and spared no expense on your own comfort. Now, see what they have to say about this!" called the voice. As he spoke, more ghosts began to enter the room- the spirits of the trainer's former pokemon.

"You killed us! You killed us!" they cried together. Although they spoke in the pokemon language, the trainer knew perfectly well what they were saying.

"This can't be real! It's a dream! A dream!" the trainer replied, still refusing to believe in his own cruelty.

"No," corrected the voice, "a nightmare."

With that, the Haunter who lived in the mansion swooped down and dove into the trainer's body. He sealed the trainer's mind and soul away, and controlled the body as if it were his own. The ghosts of the trainer's former pokemon moved in around him, and the mansion's doors unlocked again.

The ghost still lives in Lavender town- his old mansion is now a gym where ambitious trainers can try and win the Paranoia badge. But every now and then, the trainer, who is now the Haunter, leaves his gym, in search of others who misuse their pokemon. So be warned, all those who seek strength through such abuse, sooner or later the Ghost of Lavender town will have his revenge.

So, yea, that's my stuff :D Comments and constructive crit are loved- especially on the sprites. I'm really new to this whole pixel art thing, and I've seen a lot of truly amazing stuff around here.

Welcome to Psypoke, it looks like you're going to settle in really nicely here :)

It certainly appears that you've got talent with making pixel art and writing stories, and I'm sure the other members look forward to seeing what else you have to share.

Thank you for the welcome :D

I don't have much recent pokemon fanstuff, but I hope I'll be able to add to this little thread, or maybe offer to make stuff for others on the graphics thread.

Edit: New stuff :D

A "Frankenstein" edit of two trainer sprites, with some colour changes:
