so breloom's ability means that if its poisoned it will heal its hp. what if someone uses toxic on it? will it never die? i mean toxic hurts increasing amounts of dmg so shouldnt it heal increasing amounts of life on breloom?

I think it's irrelavent since most people use toxic orb, I do not expect your question to be answered soon.

I was thinking the same thing, I was told that toxic poisoning only healing as much as normal posioning would, but I haven't tested it.

I actually use a Breloom, so I know this strategy. When it is poisoned he only gains a set amount of HP every turn. The amount it recovers does not increase. I thought it worked the same as you thought it did, but unfortunately, no it doesn't.

That would be sweet, but it could still die with a Flying move.

What if you get badly poisoned then your screwed, and the normal state of being poisoned would still take more damage than you recover hp, I worked it out already. So I would go with effect spore.

Okay, I assume you are talking about Toxic? And toxic is a form of poison, which is what makes poison heal work. I attached a toxic orb to my Breloom anyway. Any residual damage caused by poison will heal the pokemon, not hurt it. Besides, effect spore works 30% of the time and Breloom's stats don't allow it to stay around long enough for that to work consistently.

Breloom with Poison Heal holding a Toxic Orb with Leech Seed is a nice set, but I know about something much better you can add on to that.
Shroomish learns Spore by level up
It also learns Wake-Up Slap by Egg move
See where I'm going with this??

Ok, poisone heal is like leftovers for breloom. If it becomes Toxic Poisoned its HP will not increase more every turn. The point behind this is that you can not be burned, prz, or put to sleep making stat affectors Useless against it.
@ Toxic Orb
Adamant | Poisone Heal
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
~ Spore
~ Leech Seed
~ Substitute
~ Focus Punch
subpunching brelooms are great.

Does that really matter Mead1ey, I mean I have it in the moveset do I not??? The fact of which will come first in battle will never be a set thing, it could very well be either subpunch or sporepunch. Either way is effective, and works the same.
