Meh, Lucario is fast, but as soon as it runs up against a strong tank, it'll drop dead from one EQ.
Actually, I don't like any of them. Garchomp and Salamence both have X4 weaknesses, and I hate Pokemon with that amount of damage from one attack.
Electivire is okay, but its speed gets to it. You would have to switch it on a electric attack, which means you would have to predict your opponents move, which is easy enough if you have a Gyarados. But I think people have learned to watch out for this combo, and counter it by hitting Gyarados with Rock Slide/Stone Edge.
Aerodactyl it weak against too many things. And I just never really liked it.

If somebody wants to play the theoretical 1vs1 game, Aero will beat all of them.
However, those are always bad ways to compare things. I'd go with Chomp or Evire as best. But there are still some choices like Heracross, Infernape, Gyrados, Breloom, and others missing....

Heracross, Breloom or Gyarados for 3rd Gen (netbattle).
In 4th Gen I like Metagross (w/Zen Headbutt) and especially Weavile- who can sweep all your choices but maybe Aerodactyl (depends on differing natures, but Aero's max speed is better).

I'd personally vote for if it was up.
Good attack and good speed.

I'll edit the poll, if I can. I made this in a hurry.
