Oh yeah, Celebi. I don't have it in my dex on any of my games so I didn't see it, and I forgot it was Psyc-type.
Ok, so yeah I know about the stats-whatever, i just like Fire pokemon.

Anyway, it seems to me that I should leave this discussion for a little while; I'll come back when I have a fresher/clearer mind.

I don't that that you're just having that problem with the discussion alone. You should totally make that announcement for the Battle Tower forum in general :3.

Also {exeggutor}

Can "Latias w/ Soul dew" and "Latios w/ Soul dew" be added to the ubers list and Latias w/o Soul dew be added to OU to help clear up some confusion?

According to Smogon, Soul Dew is banned outright (on Latios and Latias), Latias is Uber and Latios is OU.

Just clearing that up.

The following pokes have been added to limbo testing

Crobat
Honchkrow
Shaymin-L

I can't find anything relating to this. Everything I found said it's allowed in ubers.

Unless the Smogon tiers are out of date, it would appear that Latios is uber and Latias is OU. I've certainly seen several people use Latias in OU.

There's a Soul Dew clause...but that doesn't mean its standard in Ubers.

Smogon has finally lost it. Legendaries and Stage 3 pokemon (aside from bug types) in NU? They r totally stupid. Some of it does make sense though

It's based on usage. Some legendaries and stage 3s are used little, some underrated in battling, others not. I'm sure the better Pokemon will be moved back to UU if proved to be unbalanced in NU.

Also Magneton has now been classed as NU tier (go magnet pull abuse)

so i heard phione and pidgeot are excellent pokemon that deserve a spot in uu.

to clarify the lati@s issue:

soul dew is banned in ou but allowed in ubers.
latios is uber.
latias is ou.

Post subject:  Re: D/P tiers

Priority moves and Rotom-A, though in time it'll probably be bumped to BL.

Rhyperior needs to be added to the UU list. Also, Porygon2 is mainly used in OU, but its UU usage was low enough for it to become NU. It wasn't used enough in OU to become OU, wasn't getting used enough in UU to stay UU, so dropped to NU.

Why is Garchomp Uber...i mean i know it repels people from using it too much but still,it can tae ou hits but not uber hits..oh well..My Garchomp just has 2 persevere...

A pokemon is uber if in common battle conditions, can sweep significant portion of the metagame
-Smogon tier uber classifictions. Garchomp is in suspect testing now, and so far it has been proven overpowering.

Post subject:  Re: Tier List - last update 1/6/10

The Tier List has been updated based on Smogon's usage statistics for the past three months and can be view in it's entirety in the first post of this topic. For your convenience, here is a list of the pokemon that have changed tiers since the last update.

Moving Up:
Gallade (UU to BL)
Honchkrow (UU to BL)
Cloyster (NU to UU)
Leafeon (NU to UU)
Nidoqueen (NU to UU)
Poliwrath (NU to UU)
Qwilfish (NU to UU)

Moving Down:
Cresselia (OU to UU)
Porygon-Z (OU to UU)
Electrode (UU to NU)
Espeon (UU to NU)
Gardevoir (UU to NU)
Magneton (UU to NU)
Miltank (UU to NU)
Typhlosion (UU to NU)

It should also be noted that Smogon has had a change in some policies regarding the updating of tier lists, such that they will now be changed every four months (at the beginning of January, May, and September) rather than every three months (at the beginning of January, April, July, and October). This has been done to ease the schedule on their analysis writers so that they won't have to rewrite the pages for certain pokemon that are likely to change tiers as often as before.

Feel free to discuss your thoughts on the pokemon that changed tiers this round, and what effect you feel this will have on the game.

The only two I care about are. Cresselia getting knocked down a peg. Just because I personally think it is overrated. The other one I care about is Espy dropping a tier, just because I really really like Espy.

The UU metagame is more than likely going to change dramatically with Cloyster and Nidoqueen in it now. The BL tier just got a few new mates nothing to serious. OU tier might experience a massive change due to PorygonZ and Cresselia not being in there anymore.

Cresselia is going to be a popular wall in UU were sandstream and hail aren't common, and P-Z is gonna annoy Chansey alot. I wonder why Leafeon and Cloyster gained popularity?

Cloyster and Nidoqueen were always in UU, they just were labeled as NU instead of UU. And PZ and Cress didn't have much influence on OU anymore. The only time a tier has a dramatic change is when something drops down, like from OU to UU (as did PZ and Cress) or uber to OU, or when it is banned, like from UU to BL or OU to uber.

That said, I do think that UU is going to change a lot due to PZ and Cress, especially with Cressy likely becoming the premier wall in the tier. Uxie usage will probably drop dramatically except for SR leads and such, since Cress is superior in basically every other way (Uxie has 5 more base attack, 10 more base defense, and 10 more base speed, while Cress has 45 more base HP and now a reliable recovery move in Moonlight). It's also interesting to note that, while Cresselia getting knocked down is something that has been expected for a while, it also occurs at a time when two of the pokemon that are believed to be the best at removing her, Heracross and Honchkrow, are not in the tier, with Krow recently banned and Cross just barely staying OU. Thus, I expect Absol usage to rise dramatically, particularly the Crit abuse versions with Pursuit.

PZ i think will have less of a splash in the tier, but will still make it's presence known. There isn't much that enjoys coming in on a TriAttack aside from Mismagius, Rotom, Chansey, and some Registeel - the other steels and rocks in the tier get a big chunk taken out despite the resistance because of laughable special defense, and Aggron fears HP Fighting. However, Priority moves are all over the place, especially Mach Punch and Sucker Punch. So, PZ will probably be pretty easy to contain and will likely not be anything game changing unless Hitmontop gets banned for some reason.

Yeah but they're just preventing from 2 people sending out Wobbuffet sice it learns no real moves and have that Shadow Tag ability. I mean really.. imagine 2 Wobbys fighting each other funny.. but dumb. Kinda like Ash Vs Samurai with their 2 Metapods.

Ash "Metapod HARDEN!"
Samurai "Metapod Harden back!"
Ash "Metapod EXTREME HARDNESS!!"

I know this post is old, but I just wanted to point out that what would happen is the wobbufett that came in first would run out of pps first and struggle itself to death, either that or struggle & get hit by counter from the other wobby
