if this is in the wrong section, sorry, but i didn't know. also, i don't know much about naTURES either, so what would be better for Phys. sweep? i may give him false swipe and keep him to catch pkmn with, then raise another with technition. would this be better, maybe with a diff. moveset?

i have a general idea of what EV's are but don't know how to get them/track them. and if i evolve to Scizor (havent decided if a good idea) then i was thinkin earthquake (if he can) to deal with his only weakness.

night slash and brick break are also great choices
make it jolly and give it 252 in spd otherwise, u can die b4 u hit

Well do not forget to equip / with false swipe. You'll need it!

If you wanna sweep... Keep it as Scyther. Scizor isn't fast enough to "sweep".

Umm. I'd try this:

Jolly (+Speed -Special Attack)
252 Atk 252 Spd 6 HP
X Scissor
Aerial Ace
Endure
Reversal

Kinda like Heracross, but faster. Reversal + low HP pwns most physical walls.

Yes, but if you decide to use it for competitive battles, most people will see the Endure/Reversal combo coming and they will switch out Pokemon.

MissingNo_Is_My_Friend is right it evolved to Scizor but compare their base stats:

Scyther

Atk : 110
Def : 80
Sp. Atk : (No Need)
Sp. Def : 80
Spd : 105

Scizor

Atk : 130
Def : 100
Sp. Atk : (No Need)
Sp. Def : 80
Spd : 65


Theres a little bonus to Atk and Def but the Speed reduced ( Can't call it a sweeper it can't outrun other Pokemon )

The Sp. Def did'nt changed and gained great vulnerability to fire ( wich is a very common type )

And if you stick to Scyther choose Technician ( Aerial Ace + Stab + Technician will do great damages )

Therefore, I conclude, Scyther is the best Sweeper here

I prefer Scizor for durability and no SR weak.
