this might be old, but in double can you use a no-guard machamp along with another pokemon that has an instant kill attack (eg. fissure) to get 100% acc? it seems a little overpowered...

If i'm not mistaken, fissure has the same effect as earthquake. It affects all the pokemon on the field. So that would make your machamp faint as well.

Behold Fissure and No Guard.
I guess they decided to elaborate on Articuno's ever-popular Mind Reader + Sheer Cold skill. It may be cheap, but it works.
Sword, the site resources are there for a reason.

It doesn't work. No guard only works when machamp is attacking and when its being attacked. I've seen my machamps partner miss many times. Also, with attacks that attack both opponents, its happened when it hits machamp but not its partner.

Sooo someone could spend a long time breeding a super machamp fissure user combo only to find out in it's first test battle that it Only garentees the hit on the machamp?

If sword of destiny is not mistaken that's tragic/funny.

Why yes it can. But because Mind Reader can be switched on and negated, it's not recommended to use MR/SC on Articuno in both RSE and DP. Not to mention it can easily get KOed on the MR turn.
The whole No Guard thing was probably thought of by many, just like the Skill Swap+Sheddy strategy. But of course, it fails due to being too powerful for GameFreak to actually keep it.

It's like banning certain cards in TCGs. They are too good for open use.
