Crobat (item suggestion please)
Jolly - Inner Focus
252 Atk 252 Spd 6 HP
Haze
U-Turn
Bite/Aerial Ace
Confuse Ray
I'm thinking that I can Haze and U-Turn with great success because my Crobat's DVs are something like 23/28/21/5/17/20.
Am I missing something? (Besides the item ) Is Cross Poison worth it, and will my moveset suffer because I didn't breed for Brave Bird?

Personally, I think if you're going to be hazing and then switching away the next turn, you don't want an attack that will make Crobat even more vulnerable from the recoil - although, the STAB 120 attack and 100% Acc isn't a bad thing.
Cross poison is more powerful than Aerial ace. Also, roost instead of confuse ray could be helpful.
Itemwise, Black Sludge for recovery.
EDIT: Forget what I said about Cross Poison. EvilPenguin has proved me very wrong - thanks for catching me on that btw!

Aerial Ace has similar but better coverage than Cross Poison because it includes Fighting.
Roost souds like a solid idea, but I like to have Confuse Ray on anybody who can have it.

That's true, poison doesn't SE fighting but most people would expect a flying attack - most likely brave bird - and switch away a fighting type. And cross poison has 10 more base power, high crit ratio and can poison so will do more damage than aerial ace when it does normal damage.

For one thing, Poison only hits Grass for SE (not bug), while Flying hits Grass, Bug, and Fighting for SE. For another, there are 5 types that resist or are immune to Poison (Steel, Ghost, Ground, Rock, and Poison itself), while Flying only has 3 (Steel, Rock, and Electric). The only type that resists Flying but not Poison is Electric, and I doubt you are going to be using Crobat against an Electric type anyway.
Yes, the CH chance and Poisoning chance is nice, but they don't happen often enough to make a huge amount of a difference. The 10 extra Base Power is a small plus, but its probably not worth it because of the type coverage. Flying (and bug for that matter, which you already have) covers grass types, scores a SE on 2 extra types, gets neutral on three of the types that resist poison, and no type is Immune to it. Also, remember that almost half of the Grass types are paired with a second type that resists poison, like Roserade or Torterra. The only grass type I can think of that is paired with a Flying Resistor is Cradily.
Anything Poison can do, Flying can do better, so go with Aerial Ace

I think the moveset should be
Haze
U-Turn
Aerial Ace
Confuse Ray
Roost seems like a bad idea on a Crobat because of his bad defenses.

Actually, that would be good - Crobat would now just have ground and psychic, as opposed to Psychic + Rock/Ice/Electric Weaknesses. However, he isn't defensive enough for a haze set...lemme copy something from blueshirt32's advanced moveset guide:
Code: CROBAT @ Leftovers
Inner Focus
- Haze
I mention this set only to bash it ;_;. Now, I will rant for a bit about
Hazebat, IMO one of the stupidest tactics you will ever hear people defend.
1. First off, the most common need for a Hazer is when an opponent stat-ups.
Let's see what can do this - DD, BU, CM, and Swords Dance are the most common
stat-upping moves.
Dragon Dance - Gyarados and Salamence. Salamence learns Rock Slide, which is
almost a OHKO against Hazebat anyway, and is fast enough to get in the RS
before Haze. So you're left with a 5% (if not KO'd) Crobat against a normal
Salamence. Gyara, although it does not get the SE attack, has about the same
potential. And remember, after a DD they will be FASTER than you, so you'll
need to take the boosted hit before you can Haze.
Bulk Up/SD - mostly fighting/normal types. Any good fighter has Rock Slide,
which preys on Hazebat's flying type. The normal types all have Return, which
just does a helluva lot of damage. Is it worth it? Even if you do get in
your Haze, you're still taking a good 60-80% from whatever move your oppoenent
used.
Calm Mind - they almost always have Psychic. Need I really continue?
Seriously, if you were facing CM Alakazam, would you rather Haze it or CB
Shadow Ball?
2. Ever heard of the phrase the best defense is a good offense? Haze is a
REACTIONARY technique - you need to get hit the turn you are using Haze. Why
do that when you can attack, and with the added CB power possibly KO?
Now some smart aleck is going to ask "why don't you put attacks and Haze on
Crobat?" The CB adds a lot of damage - slightly less than 1.5x. Crobat has
base 90 attack, which is far from stellar (albeit good), and if you are going
to use a Hazebat you can't afford many Att EVs. The Choice Band means a lot.
3. Notice Crobat's types - Flying/Poison. I already discussed this in point
1, but that is an awful type combation. Almost every physical stat-upper has
Rock Slide now in FRLG, which preys on the Flying type. The poison type gives
it a weakness to Psychic, the common link between most CMers. The flying type
also makes it weak to Boltbeam, probably the most common special attack out
there. Hazebat takes so much damage from the moves it is trying to prevent
that it really isn't worth it.
Now imagine a few things change - there are others that hit harder. Calm Minders are now nasty plotters like Slowking and infernape. Stone Edge does mega damage, though it may be the best thing thats happened to crobat - now it can haze the swords dance in the turn stone edge misses. More threats are there, though - ice shard, thunderpunch/ice punch/ice fang, zen headbutt/psycho cut is on several pokemon. Aside from SE hits, there's return, body slam, dragon moves, dark pulse/crunch.
What else makes HazeBat useless?
The lack of stat-upping moves - have you seen the number of Choice items and life-orbing? Not too mention, its a waste of a spot in a metagame where spots are limited for team playing, and EVs can't be split well - you can't just max out speed, defenses are necessary for HazeBat.
In conclusion - stay away from any stall-bat. Use Sleepbat

(sorry for not writing back sooner)
So Peanut. Haze and Crobat, although compatible, are useless together?

Here try this
Jolly/252spd/252hp/6att
black sludge
Hypnosis
U-turn/x-scissor
Aerial ace
Haze/confuse ray
That's a good standard way on how to run a Crobat. Also with 374 hp your
Crobat will be taking crazy hits. Don't max out his attack please he doesn't need it. If you want you could split the hp and att 128 and 128, but a good Crobat needs hp I just wanted to let you know.
