I've been attempting to make a team recently, and I have come up with a list of possible pokemon for my team. I need help deciding which of these will make a decent OU team:

-Aerodactyl (phys. sweeper)
-Alakazam (spec. sweeper)
-Bronzong (toxi-trapper)
-Charizard (phys. sweeper)
-Claydol (SR-spinner)
-Forretress (SR-spinner)
-Gengar (spec. sweeper)
-Kingdra (spec. sweeper)
-Ludicolo (drainer)
-Starmie (spec. sweeper)
-Swampert (tank)
-Weavile (phys. sweeper)

I didn't provide movesets because I didn't think they were necessary, but if need be, I'll add them.

i like the pokemon and the battle role and type coverage

-> Aerodactyl
-> Starmie
-> Gengar
-> Bronzong
-> Swampert
-> Claydol if you REALLY want a spinner here, but I suggest something else like a Mixed Infernape or a Blissey.

Claydol is definity preferable to Forretress because it not only takes less damage from SR, but also is immune to Spikes and ToxiSpikes completly (while Tressy is only immune to ToxiSpikes).

I would strongly advise using Forretress over Claydol. The DP special shift actually hurt Claydol to the extent that it has been knocked down into lower tiers, even to UU in some cases.

Forretress also has a major plus in the form of having only one weakness, being fire, which is countered by Aerodactyl, Starmie and Swampert (if you want to switch into a weak attack, switch into the former two, but for a strong one, risk Swampert.) It also has the superiority of being able to lay out the spikes / srock / tspikes that you've just spun away.

Also, Water type attacks have become more common, as have Dark ones, and Claydol simply doesn't have the staying power that it used to have in this sweeper based metagame.

I will take these combinations into consideration, and experiment a little with them. Thanks for all of your thoughts and contributions.
