my sis wants a good water type pokemon on her team. She has an espeon, steelix, raichu, misdrevous, houndoom. she asked me for help but i don't know if she should go defensive with kindra, or go offensive with gryados. I have a good moveset for gyrados, and a good moveset for kingdra. but which one do u think she should choose?

isn't exactly a defensive Pokemon, especially with its new Outrage. With so many resistances and a weakness to only Dragon types, I'd say a DD with Outrage is a deadly foe.
If you ask me, is equally good, but I'd prefer Stab DD Outrage Pokemon.

Id go with Kingdra as its second type will be more useful to her team than Gyrados', plus Kingdra's typing (one weakness) is alot better in general than Gyrados' (that massive electric weakness is easily exploited).

Gyarados is an old favorite, but Kingdra gets the STAB on Dragon type moves, as well as the resistances for being Dragon type. Like those before me, I'd go with Kingdra, personally.

I see that you are a member here bahamut_x3 and we are glad for you to be here but you have broken a major rule here. That rule which you just broke is necromancing which is posting in an old thread in which no one has posted in quite some time. I suggest you refrain from doing this again in the future as it ticks off the staff, and I am just trying to save them some time and trouble by preventing them from having to take the time out and explain this to you themselves.

they're both good. adamant gyarados with swords dance is deadly and can 1HKO pokemon if it use aqua tail after a swords dance holding mystic water
kingdra is also good because it has alot of resistances
