So the Rating Center will be remade in the next week or so to upgrade to GenV. Before it is done however I would like to ask for ideas and suggestions to improve the center over the previous one.

So far, the post requirement will be dropped/removed completely, it's never followed anyway. Also a required copy/paste header where the ratee can fill in his team type, environment, and restrictions.

Basically I don't mind the whole post count thing but I wouldn't want to have to rate a team that isn't competitively set. I.E. In-Game Teams which whether or not they follow the format, are not mean't to be rated here

I hope by "ingame" you dont mean the battle subway too. Thats where I tend to do most of my battleing. And if I find out my WiFi will let me battle people, it gonna end up being my "testing" ground. And id like to have comments. bug fixes during the testing phase ratehr than in comabt.

(Yes Iknow your probably talikng about plot line, I just figured Id point that out.)

Im thinkin maybe a priority scheduale, cause there have been a few times where my team has been overlooked either because I didnt know their Ev's OR they where in the last post on the last page..

Admittedly, it would be nice if there was an option solely for rating movesets or natures. Not everyone knows the EVs of their Pokemon, and for in-game/plot purposes, you don't really need them. For this reason, if the person provides EVs, then great; if they don't, then it'd be nice to have a rater just rate the nature, moves, and ability, rather than just out and out turning them away because they don't know the EVs/what they are.

yes I was talking about the story Line Battle subways Perfectly acceptable.
What rex09 is talking about is more of a team suggestions, rather than critique a specific strategy.

Also I think we should offer {GASP} Non-smogon rules ratings Due to the new random match feature.
Following those rules since many of smogons bans will show up there. Its Wild out there  Where Garchomp and Salamence still lurk~

as such the rules are
Species Clause
No same Items
Banned Pokemon:
Egg-I know you wanted to use it
Mewtwo
Mew
Lugia
Ho-oh
Celebi
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Jirachi
Deoxys
Chatot
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina
Phione
Manaphy
Darkrai
Shaymin
Arceus
Victini
Zekrom
Reshiram
Kyurem
Keldeo
Meloetta
Genesect
Items Banned: Soul dew, Unreleased berries
Moves Banned: Skydrop

Well if you are going to list EVs then the team is going to be played in a competitive sense, and since it will be you will know the EVs. I like the way it is now how the rules are set up, however one suggestion I would like to make is to not limit a team rating to once a month, maybe something like once every two weeks. Some people like me can make teams really fast and it would be nice to not have that limitation there. This whole thread reminds me that i need to retake the raters test.

Wait a minute. Chatot's BANNED?????

Anyways, The idea of a 1 post every two weeks is a nice idea, but depending on how many raters are approved, it may be a little overwhelming for them. Keeping it at one month is a much better idea.

yes chatot is banned most likely because the game doesn't want to deal with its chatter move

Right, but sometimes people just want help with in-game stuff, which don't require EV training, as I mentioned above. For instance, beating Red is a pretty difficult challenge for some people; they may just want their movesets to be rated, just to see if they think it'll do the trick. Same for the Battle Frontier, in some cases; not all need EV training. This is the kind of stuff I was trying to get at. Broadening the type of people who come to the Battle Tower may also get more people involved in battling competitively online, simply because they came to get their team rated and realized there's a lot more going on in the game than they realized.

I would like to set the min to fighting the E4 for team rates, any format they wish to have their team rated they will need to add to the copy/paste header Subway, DW, Wifi, Uber, OU, VGC, LC, PO, etc. are all fine.

If no EV's are put on the poke (unless asked to have EVs given) will be rated for just movesets.

It'll probably stay at a month for now, including you we'd have a total of 4 raters :/ but if we can get some more active raters we can drop the limit.

So something I'd like to bring up for discussion is weather or not to add a "Suggested Donation" in the rules. It would by no means be mandatory. But to help encourage good raters with a few psybucks here and there, and those posting rates to thank the raters. I hope it will also help get more raters to apply.

I would like a few other opinions on this before actually do anything.

MMM. Im not sure if that would help get raters, it MIGHT work but I think its a longshot.

I did have a lightbulb moment though. Since some people want to post more than one team to be rated per month, let them do it, but charge them, lets say 100 psybucks for everyteam AFTER there firts post. (1 free post per month, X amount of psybucks for each one after that.)

Not really a suggestion, but you need to change the link at the top of the page (it goes to the old rating center now)
