In this type of verse, "first" and "second" and so on refer to the individual letters of a word. Find the correct ltter for each definition or explanation, and complete the word.
My first is in sugar but not in tea.
My second is in swim but not in sea.
My third is in apple and also pear.
My fourth is in ring and also hair.
My last is in ten but not in herd.
My whole is a very complimentary word.
EDIT: And the answer is NOT 42!

What is double one half of 1,000,000,000,000? <---(1 trillion)
In less than 30 seconds, multiply all the numbers found on a telephone, then add 1. What number do you have?
Once again, none of the answers are 42.

You're in this room. You cannot leave it and all there is a door, but it cannot be open without a key...which you don't have. All there is in the room is a saw, a baseball bat, a desk and a piano. Nothing in the room can be destroyed except for the objects mentioned before. Give three possible ways you could escape
Everyone can post their puzzles...
I'm new to this so forgive me if this has already been answered.
1) If the door needs a key to open it, I'd hit a Piano key which should open it.
That's all I can think of for now. Tell me how I did
EDIT: Oh no . It's already been answered (but bare in mind I figured one out without looking ).

Here's a really long riddle, with quite an easy answer.
Colonel Cholomondely-Snaith-Jones was very proud indeed of his big-game hunting exploits. He had published several monographs about his life among the pygimes, his exploits during the Boer War, and his single-handed capture of an entire tribe of blow-dart hunting natives in Borneo. He had even broight home a poisned blow-dart home as evidence, and, as he told his friends, he was going to use it to start a collection for the Victoria and Albert Museum.
This particular day, dressed in his usual explorer clothes, he was sitting comfortably in an armchair, being interviewed by the Explorers Club membership committee.
"As I said," he contiuned, "my reputation had spread before me, and these poor chappies sent word via the drums that they needed me. Two of their babies, one of the woman, and and two warriors had been snatched out of the village by this man-eating tiger. They were desperately short of warriors, the drums said." He then nodded affirmatively. "So I assembled my bearers, my full set of guns, and set off for the village. It was at the headwaters of the Nile, in territory so remote no white man had ever been there. I learned all I could from my bearers about the habits of nocturnal hunters like that tiger-"
At that point, each of the four committee members seized one limb of the hapless colonel and threw him down the club's magnificent flight of twent-two marble steps and onto the street.
Why?
