Okay, time to dish out the points. The answers for the Drain Punch question were:

~Shroomish (guessed by Skeleton)
~Cacnea (guessed by Shinylucario)
~Cacturne (also guessed by Shinylucario)
~Togekiss (also guessed by Shinylucario)
~Regirock (guessed by nobody)

ShinyLucario's getting 2 points instead of 1.5 because he brought up the bit about the Seagallop Ferry - he's right; in Japanese it's SS Seagallop.

Let's see if I can give you a question that is reasonably challenging, but I don't trip over my own words in the process.
Ah! Here's one.

A Pokemon with a base stat total that is more than 600. This Pokemon was banned in the Battle Subway by Nintendo, and yet Smogon has not banned it from use. Who is it?

If you want a point of reference, Metagross, Tyranitar, Jirachi, and the like all have 600 BST. (I think Articuno does too but I'm not 100% sure on that.)

Articuno wouldn't if Zapdos and Moltres didn't. And I doubt they do.

I'm betting it's Regigigigigigigas

Re-re-regirock?
Well, I guess it doesn't have hands that can like hold a coffee cup or type away at the keyboard, but it does seem so natural for those huge arms to launch heavy punches.

For this question, I'm going to guess Deoxys Defense, who was left out while all his brethren are up there in Uber.

BTW, for all you trivia fans out there, the last S.S.ship (at least that I currently know) is the S.S.Libra in XD.

Quick edit: @Skeleton: I vaguely recall that the Legendary Birds does not have equal base stats, something to do with the Special split. But I do think the other two, like most other "minor trios", have 580 BST.

My money is on Kyurem. It's not uber, it's banned form the Battle Subway, and its base stat total is over 600.

The answer is indeed Kyurem.

It isn't Regigigas because, although Regigigas does have more than 600 BST, it is not banned anywhere. (Neither is Slaking.)

Deoxys-Defense is a good guess, but its base stat total is exactly 600.

I suppose that was too easy? or just difficult enough?

Here's another one to test the waters. How many Pokemon get the Speed Boost ability, and who are they?

Ninjask is all I can name.

Post subject:  Re: Trivia of DNA I

Darn! I thought of Kyurem - the awesome dragon with the poor typing and pitiful movepool - too, but the other part of my brain was like "Nooooo, remember how Kyurem has lower BST than Reshiram or Zekrom? It only has 580 BST!" I hate that part of my brain. A lot.

This time I'm going with Ninjask (already mentioned by Cherrygrove), Yanma, Yanmega, Torchic (DW), Combusken (DW), and Blaziken (DW).

Another quick edit: I actually got the Legendary Birds part all wrong. They had different BST in Gen I (480, 490, 495) but now they each have 580 BST since the Special split.

In regards to the outside-battle effect of the ability "Synchronize", under what conditions will it not work when encountering a wild Pokemon? Assume that this is Generation 4 and up.

There are 3 conditions that I am thinking of, worth 1 point each.

Scripted encounters (Legends, Snorlax, Foongus/Amoongus)

Phenomena (shaking grass, dust clouds, rippling water, bridge shadows)

Wild double encounters

Them's guesses that seem logical to me, so let's find out.

Mystery gift Pokémon.
Roaming legendaries.
That's all I can think of.

Although you can't Synchronize against Mystery Gift Pokemon, they aren't considered "wild Pokemon", which is what the question calls for.

The other two conditions in question were the PokeWalker and the Entralink.

Okay, I don't have a new question for you guys YET, but before I do I'd like to ask this:
How many of you are actually interested in seeing this trivia continue?

I mean, I love thinking up stuff for you guys to enjoy, but if you guys aren't enjoying it as much as you'd like then I can hold off for now. I'd like your honest opinion - don't say yes just because you can; thinking up trivia questions is actually a lot more difficult than it seems.

I cant honestly give a fully unbiased opinion, for the obvious reasons, but you should wait until BW2 is released in North America, as it'll bring more activity, not to mention help me win at least half of a point by giving me time to learn up on all that I missed from the 3rd and 4th gens. And the fact that it'll give you enough time to think of more questions!

Yea...the forum inactivity can be discouraging. But if you feel like you could use a break, by all means take it! Give yourself some time to refresh and revitalize yourself, then come back better as ever, 'kay?

If this forum picked up a bit i would be more more interested, theres maybe 15 regular users. And SL it is discouraging and we do need more members. Once the new game comes out. people will be looking for walkthroughs and will stumble onto this site. I think you should continue with the trivia because of the fact that we WILL get more users,

Nice job repeating me!
It would be nice, as it'll be a competition between Werewolf and Trivia. That is, if Werewolf lasts that long!

It just needed more emphasis, anyway i think DNA should make a new version of his trivia game. Kind of a fresh start to it, dont you think?
