If we're all on the topic of dead forums then how about a classic game?
No super power roles
No dumb underpowered roles

Just classic WW with 3/9 playing the wolves and 1 playing a "seer"
Yea it might be boring, and yea the normal villagers are going the get bored but to be honest I think this is all you can do at this point.
Unless we put boots to asses and get everyone back into the game

This seems pretty good. 12 player games are the perfect size in my opinion.
