I was just lookin at the new abilities in DP, and some of them are really cool.
I looked at the suggested mosvesets of two pokemon and dinked around with them a bit. I don't know if the modifications are any good, or if anyone else suggested them, I just though they we're interesting. ^^
I'll highlight the changes I made.

{walrein} Walrien @ Leftovers/Chesto
Bold/Calm | Ice Body
252 Sp Atk, 129 Def/Sp Def, 129 HP
~Surf
~Blizzard
~Hail
~Rest/Yawn

Ice body heals HP every turn that Hail is in effect, which also boosts Blizzards accuracy to 100%. That hp recovery plus the leftovers gives you a better recovery, or with rest and the chesto, you can get right back on your feet after a more devistating attack (fire will no longer be weakened by thick fat, though it only does normal damage to the water/ice type anyhow)

{cloyster} Cloyster @ Shell Bell
Adamant/Careful/Impish | Skill Link
252 Sp Def, 252/129 HP, 6/129 Atk
~Spike Cannon
~Icicle Spear
~Spikes
~Surf/Explosion/Rapid Spin

Physical sweeper/spiker, instead of special. Skill Link makes moves that go multiple times (fury swipes, spike cannon ect) go the maximum amount of times it can go. That means both Spike Cannon and Icicle Spear will go 5 times each time its used (baring any acc. lowered). The shell bell will heal a little HP with every successive hit, and if your opponent used substitute, and you iliminate it with one of your earlier hits, all the rest of the moves left will deal damage. Spike cannon does 20 damage each hit making the move a 100 base power attack with Skill Link. And though Icicle Spear only does 10 (making it a 50 power atk) its a physical based attack, and still gets stab.

so yeah, thats all xD

Spike Cannon is ok. Cloyster is better having battle armor with a tank set. The Walrein set isn't too bad, but Walrein is well-suited of rbeing a curse sweeper.

Crobat @ Black Sludge/Choice Band
Jolly/Adamant | Inner Focus
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
~Cross Poison
~Faint Attack/X-scissor
~Aerial Ace
~X-scissor/Quick Attack/Hypnosis

It doesn't learn Poison Jab like the moveset says.

Breloom@Toxic Orb
Adamant. Poison Heal
252Attack/252Speed/6HP

*Leech Seed
*Seed Bomb
*Sky Uppercut
*Facade

Pretty simple. Seed 1st turn. And then when you come to the 2nd turn you can use either STAB attack of Facade if Sky uppercut or seed bomb arnt super effective. Any other moves that could be used?

In the Arceus move sets (special and physical) you put 252 Evs into attack for both. I assume you meant special attack.

I was looking at Gardevoir and I realized that she has a really good Special Defense stat, so why not try something a little more durable:

Gardevoir @ Leftovers
Calm | Synchronize
252 HP, 129 Sp Atk, 129 Sp Def
~Calm Mind
~Will-O-Wisp/Wish
~Psychic
~Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt/Energy Ball

This set can switch into a special sweeper easily, use calm mind a few times and sweep. Wish gives it a healing move and Will-O-Wisp can scare away phisical-attack based counters.

A think that the TankBro is nowadays the used Slowbro set, because of the fact, that it makes pretty good counter to Gyarados and Garchomp, + MixNape without Grass Knot, three major threats of DP. It can also safely switch to Heracross locked to Close combat.

Slowbro @ Lefties
Bold | Own Tempo
212 Hp 252 Def 44 SpAtt
-Slack Off
-Surf
-Ice beam
-HP Electric
Physical tank, and Special sweeper at same time. ****

Magnezonesmovepool is pretty terrible. Thunderbolt and Hp are it's main options. Flash Cannon has poor coverage. Take Heatran and compae each other and you'll see.

Good point.

Isn't Thunderpunch a decent move for Infernape? Or is it not?

T-punch is a waste on infernape. The only pokemon itsgood for is gyara, and that's solely when stone edge misses or fails to get a critical hit.

Stone Edge takes on most birds, while HP Ice takes on the rest - HP Ice is actually becoming quite common in response to sala/gliscor/garchomp.
Grass Knot deals with waters. Any time that it has more than 80 BP, it'll do better than T-punch. Suciune, Milotic, and especially Swampert are of note.

Flygon @ Leftovers/Choice Band/Choice Scarf
Jolly/Adamant | Levitate
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP - OR - 252 Sp Atk, 129 Spd, 129 HP
~Earthquake
~Rock Slide/Stone Edge
~Dragon Claw
~Crunch/Fire Punch

Physical Sweeper. Band with Jolly and Scarf with Adamant and the second EV spread. ****

"

This is a Physical Sweeper Flygon. I don't understand why the adamant Effort Value spread recommends putting half of the possible Evs into special attack when every attack is a physical attack. Does it have something to do with the item? (not sure what Choice Band/Scarf does.) Or the nature?

I'm looking into raising a Flygon for my Diamond game. Mostly because of favorites that I kept from my experience in Hoenn. I would like to get all of these matters straightened out before I begin to raise my Flygon so that he/she will not only be useful in-game, but against other players as well. I appreciate the movesets very much. (:

Hmm, maybe it's an Emerald, Ruby, etc. Movesets where fire moves are always special. I would max ou Attack and not put any into Sp.A. Chioce Scarf= x1.5 speed but only 1 move can be use until this pokemon is called back to its owner. Choice Band= Same thing but raises Attack.

-just a minor correction: Dugtrio doesn't learn U-turn.

As an addition to that Togekiss moveset you have there: Softboiled is also an option if you don't want to lost your flying-type status with Roost. Also, Water Pulse could work because of its 40% confusion chance.

This is my Blaziken's moveset.

Blaziken @ Choice Band
nature: Jolly
EVs: 255 ATK / 255 SPEED
Moves:
Flare Blitz
Stone Edge
Superpower
Thunderpunch

In case you don't know, Blaziken can learn Superpower from the Move Tutor in Platinum's Battle Frontier.

Should I replace Thunderpunch with Earthquake. I can't decide. I only keep Thunderpunch to deal with Gyarados and other water types (I tried Blaziken's Stone Edge on a level 100 Gyarados and it did not OHKO it).

And don't tell me to replace him with Infernape, cause that is not. going. to. happen. I know Infernape is better than Blaziken, but Blaziken has been with me through thick and thin, good times and bad. He was my starter pokemon, and the bond between trainer and starter pokemon is very strong, almost unbreakable. I like Blaziken, he is my favorite pokemon, and he is not going anywhere. I'm serious about this.

Also, I've noticed that for Dialga, you don't even suggest Roar of Time. Well, in my honest opinion, Dialga needs Roar of Time. Reason #1. It is it's signiture move. Reason #2. It usually OHKO's any pokemon that doesn't resist it (Dragon Pulse doesn't even come close), and being a dragon move, it is only resisted by one type. Reason #3. It looks uber cool.
So it requires a recharge afterwards. Big deal. Dialga has like, what, 12 resistances, so I'm pretty sure it can survive most hits anyway.
Again, this is just my opinion. But for my Dialga, Roar of Time stays, and thats that.

Oh, and for guy who mentioned Togekiss earlier, Togekiss cannot learn Softeboiled.

Nidoqueen @ Black Sludge/Leftovers
Relaxed | Poison Point
252 HP, 252 Def, 6 SpA
~Earthquake
~Fire Blast
~Ice Beam/Thunderbolt
~Toxic Spikes

Pretty much the standard Nidoqueen set that's worth using for Toxic Spikes support (TSpikes and Stealth Rock are overall the main reason to use Nidoqueen in the first place). I simplified the EVs a little bit from the real standard for ingame use, but 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spe is the better available set for competitive battling. The set is primarily specially based so as to let Nidoqueen defeat threats like Gyarados even after Intimidate, and Fire Blast hits Skarmory and Forretress, two Pokemon who may try to set up Spikes as Nidoqueen sets up Toxic Spikes.

edit: also, seeing the lack of protect on the Vaporeon sets, both of which used Wish, really almost made me cry...lol.

Not quite standard, but can wreak havoc if used with good prediction

Empoleon
@Life Orb/Salac Berry
24 Def / 232 SpA / 254 Spe

Substitute
Brine
Ice Beam/Grass Knot
Stealth Rock

The idea is to switch in on a weak attack and set up Stealth Rock. Then use Substitute or attack with Ice Beam/Grass Knot so that Torrent activates. This combined with Brine's doubled power/salac berry, allows Empoleon to sweep well in late game, although entry hazards are paramount.

Other viable options to fill in for Stealth Rock are Rain Dance, for rain teams or just to aid Brine, Agility to make sweeping easier if you don't have a Salac Berry.
