I'm torn between the Monkey and the Penguin. Having said that though, i'm going to trade out to get each starter before starting the game properly. I just don't know which to choose in my final restart. But it most definately WILL NOT be the turtle, because generaly grass starters aren't very good, as has been said already.

Unless the turtle proves to be a good tank, I will pick whichever one can last until I put it in my box once I catch my first pokemon.

These starters are pathetic, Nintendo should have made the starters physical ones. Fighting, rock, and flying would have been perfect and those starters wouldn't have looked like they were designed by a drunk preschooler.

Mmm...the starters are sort of un-creative IMO, but you never know what they will turn out to be. >_> I remember hating Chikorita and loving Meganium. The monkey looks like an...orange monkey. The penguin is an overly cute penguin. The turtle is actually the most creative of them all...

And I would have liked a physical triangle. ...except it would ruin the whole "there is no pure Flying" argument...

It depends on what their final stages look like, I always choose my favorites in-game.

The penguin is gonna kick butt like all the water starters . Except todidile, cyntiquil was better. The rumored final evolution is way awsome . It was obvious the turtle one was fake. What were they trying to pull on us :roll:

I'd either choose the fire monkey or water penguin because grass cant do anything against fire and since the penguin is water type it will probably know some ice moves also

I don't really know ill probably pick one have my brother get the other version and trade me the other two.

Anyway, I'd choose the Turtle since 2x4b is getting the Penguin (I don't want to copy) and the monkey just looks really bad. Bad as in really rubbish and weak. Plus, Bulbasaur evolved into a huger more amazing version of itself so Turtle-thing might do the same.
If not, I'm going on a chav killing spree.
The Turtle looks high in defense, the Penguin in attack and Monkey in speed.

my friend always picked fire so there for i picked water. (did i mention he is addicted to monkeys) and i love penguins. so i am prety much gunna pick that bird (unless it has a crappy final evelution)
