sorry (actually, not really, but you'll see why) but i actually like mijumaru and pokabu. the other one isn't bad, but i don't like it much either.
garchomp grew on me only because of it's power. that's it. just like most of the gen IV pokemon (well, plus of sentimentality towards my pokes, but that has nothing to do with the looks; most of them suck, imo). this will probably wind up being the case with the gen V pokemon too, no matter how much i say that i hate/dislike/love them.

Quick Note, here are types I hope anymore legendaires are, they have been over used:

Psychic
Dragon
Electric
Fire
Water/Ice

Some good types that havent benn used yet would be fighting, dark, and bug.

OH, OKAY...I see what you meant now for some of the types but I disagree with you on the Electric Type because I know there is Zapdos, Arceus(Zap Plate) but other then that I go blank when trying to fish anymore out...there needs to be more Electric legendaries & Psychic I don't really care about being spammed onto legendaries as yes it has but not ridiculously so I welcome the maximum of 1 Psychic Type legendary(secondary types included) this 5th Gen...that being said I agree with you that the Fighting, Dark & Bug Types should all get legendaries at some point, Especially the Dark Type & even more so the Bug Type...

well, tbh, can you imagine a bug-type legendary?? it'd be like mothra meets.... ariados. or like a really big ant or something. that's just the image i get when i think about a bug-legendary. fighting.... could be like a super-here legendary (this from the fact that at least in gen 1, most fighting types looked like humans; /{machoke} and ). poison seems like it'd be cool, though.

Yeah...forgot about Raikou & I do consider Darkrai a legendary so my bad there but all that being settled, I still say that there should be a Bug Type Legendary come 5th Gen, even if it ends up having a secondary type, I don't know so much about the Fighting Type though, maybe...

god.... the only ones i think are interesting are the zebra and the crocodile. the bird looks like starly. the misshapen lump at the bottom looks like nothing. the gears look like magneton meets exeggcute. and the mouse.... looks like an actual mouse. not even a special mouse. just a regular mouse done in cartoon-style.
they better have some kick-ass evos.

I look at it this way:
The mouse is just another damn rodent Pokemon they've forced on us because they've run out of ideas.
The gears are just the retarded younger siblings of the Magnemite evolution line.
The pigeon is this regions Pidgey/Starly/Tailow.
The zebra may have some sort of competitve viability at some point in time, but it's probably more like Electrike or Shinx.
The ape thing is a mankey on fire.
The pig is...not really a pig. It's a blob like a less-awesome Ditto. With psychic powers.
The crocodile is the new Hippopotas/Sandshrew.

it was an honest opinion; that's what they really reminded me of. i'm not saying they're gonna suck. just that as of now, they aren't really incredibly impressive, or for that matter, what i really expected (idk what i would expect, but probably the zebra is the only one that would fit in that category). and you know what they say, "making a good first impression is important." that was my first impression about these new guys.

Come on, they don't look THAT bad. Yeah, they're new, i'm sure people'll get used to them once they start playing the game.

I also like the way they're still sticking to the 'groups' as such...inanimate objects, animals and 'things' from scratch. (As bases for the pokemon) I'm sure you all can see what i mean?

Mouse, zebra, crocodile, bird - Animal based

Cog-gear thingy - inanimate object based

pink blob-like...thing - Basically made up [or are they refering to the 'pig-like thing' as this, if so then this belongs in the animals.] (God knows how it resembles a pig except the colour)

(All this is based on looks before anyone criticises)
I s'pose its a good thing they still keep to the 'basics' in their creation.
ALSO, bear in mind that these are probably pre-volutions and they never are as good as the final evo ^_^

AND AS FOR THE NEW MASCOTS-
I think they look rather cool. As much as i've seen people criticise them, they do look awsome. And SO WHAT if the black one [idk names, forgot] looks a little like Palkia (so i heard someone say). Imo, it looks a little like a digimon.(NOT a bad thing-as much as people say)
And as for the white one. it's quite snazzy.

Everyone is welcome to their opinion of course, but comparing every single new Pokemon to something that already exists is getting really annoying. Gamefreak is not running out of ideas (how do you run out of ideas when imagination is infinite?) and just because a Pokemon has similarities to another Pokemon doesn't mean it's a "knock off."

The Mouse is cool. He reminds me of Pichu. Hopefully he'll have a good attack stat so he can abuse STAB quick attack and Technician. The gears look like a cross between Bronzor and Magnemite, which is cool. The bird looks like Starly. I also think it's cool that they're implementing random wi-fi matches. And the games have the first female Pokemon professor, which is interesting. . Also, LOL. They named the gears, "Gear". I do hope they change that.
Overall, I think this generation of Pokemon looks like it could change competitive battling quite a bit. Note: Meh, I know I'm comparing them to older Pokemon also, but I'm trying to be positive.

Well, frankly, I'd rather be able to compare them to older pokes, but I can't, because these are (personally) the lamest pokemon I've ever seen. Like I don't even really know what to say. Most of them just look so... dumb, imo. I sort of like the starters, and I like the Dark Mascot, Zekrom, and hell, even Reshiram is decent, but the ones they just released are, imo, terribad.

The thing is, that with Zorua and the starters and the legendaries, I was thinking this Gen would look really cool, but this release sets that back a bit in my mind.

I like most of them. I'm particularly fond of the dual-gear one, the crocodile one, and the zebra one, and the chinchilla one ('bout time they made a Poké out of that animal).

The pig one does look kinda lame to me, though.

That Mouse pokemon, Chiramll, is the cutest thing I ever saw. So cute
The new fire type, Hihidaruma, is ok, but reminds me of Heatran. I the new one better.
I love the Zebra, Shimama, its cool I like the idea of an Electic Zebra. Its one of my new favorites
The Aligator, Meguroko, is so funny and cool. It looks like its wearing sunglasses, that cracks me up
The Gear poemon, Gear. is pretty self explanitory, its a gear, If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.........
If Munna is sopposed to be a pig. I wonder what Game freak wasthinking because it looks nothing like a pig. I like its flowers though, and I have a theory it might be this gen's Mew/ Celebi/Jirachi

The Pidgeon actually looks like a real pidgeon, unlike Pidgey. Its cute. Its most likely The Pidgey/Starly of Gen 5. It kinda reminds me of Starly in reverse. I want to see its Evos.

Im inpressed with the Pokemon. Good Job, Game Freak. I look forward to using them all. And more importantly, Catching Shinies of them.( I think ypu can all tell Im addicted to Shiny Pokemon by now)

The gear one might accually become the norm in competitive double battles if it has good stats. I accaully thing they all look cool except for the bird. Its kind of the norm for each gen to have an early-game bird, but couldn't they have come up with a better design for it? Like a Yellow finch, Cardinal, or Bluejay? The monkey looks NOTHING like chimchar's family. It's problably a pure fire type. Oh yeah, speaking of fire types, Black will be mine.

I can understand the Electric typing on Zekrom, but I have no idea HOW Reshiram can be Fire.

When I first saw the fire monkey, I thought it was an owl. It was WAY cooler that way.
Then, I realized the white 'feather pattern' on its chest was indeed a mouth.
