I'm first! Bwahahahaha! I haven't played for a long enough span to get a good moveset. I just like to restart a lot. EDIT: Fixed a spelling error. EDIT: I might be a rater! |

Here are a couple of mine. Raichu @ Bright Powder Surf Swagger Thunderbolt Thunder Wave I never really liked the Rain Dance - Surf - Thunder Combo, whenever I would set it up Rain Dance, I would get nailed by an EQ. Seaking @ Leftovers Surf Ice Beam Toxic Rest Seaking's Movepool stinks! Articuno @ Leftovers Bubblebeam Ice Beam Sky Attack Rest I know it stinks, But I couldn't get HP Flying. Meganium @ Mint Berry Razor Leaf Body Slam Earthquake Rest I never really like the Sunny Beam (Sunny Day - Solarbeam combo), since it makes it easier to knock him out. Zapdos @ Mint Berry Drill Peck Thunderbolt Steel Wing Rest I'm thinking of T-Wave over Steel Wing. Umbreon @ Mint Berry Bite Psychic Body Slam Rest Start with Body Slam to Paralyze and then Flinch with Bite, Psychic is there for Fighters. Espeon @ Bright Powder Psychic Bite Sunny Day Morning Sun Moltres @ Mint Berry Flamethrower Steel Wing Sky Attack Rest Crobat @ Bright Powder Swagger Wing Attack Bite Giga Drain Note: I do have a Gameshark, so I can shark moves on it, but I only want Legal ones. |

I was thinking of rating your team, RL, but if you won't mind waiting for a while, we'll let those who are interested in becoming raters rate it first so we can judge their "performance". |

 *ahem* Moltres' sky atack kind of stinks, because it gives your opponant a chance to switch out. Give it something like wing attack. P.S. Remove all sky attacks. Replace it with a better flying attack. ~More coming soon~ |

Raichu @ Bright Powder Surf Swagger Thunderbolt Thunder Wave I never really liked the Rain Dance - Surf - Thunder Combo, whenever I would set it up Rain Dance, I would get nailed by an EQ. Surf eliminates it's only weakness. The only trouble will come from a pokemon with a ground type move that's a non-ground type. Seaking @ Leftovers Surf Ice Beam Toxic Rest Seaking's Movepool stinks! That I agree on. You may want to consider replacing this seaking with something that has a better move pool. Articuno @ Leftovers Bubblebeam Ice Beam Sky Attack Grr. Sky attack=Bad. Try sharking it wing attack Rest I know it stinks, But I couldn't get HP Flying. Meganium @ Mint Berry Razor Leaf Body Slam Earthquake Whee! Rest I never really like the Sunny Beam (Sunny Day - Solarbeam combo), since it makes it easier to knock him out. Zapdos @ Mint Berry Drill Peck Thunderbolt Steel Wing Rest I'm thinking of T-Wave over Steel Wing. Don't replace it. Steel wing gets rid of its weaknesses, (ice and rock) so you can take out more types Zapdos is weak against. Umbreon @ Mint Berry Bite Psychic Body Slam Rest Start with Body Slam to Paralyze and then Flinch with Bite, Psychic is there for Fighters. This one is good. I like it. Espeon @ Bright Powder Psychic Bite Sunny Day Morning Sun Does espeon learn any fire type moves? You might want to consider putting one over bite. That way you'll get the most out of Sunny day. Then again...you could shark it flamethrower... Moltres @ Mint Berry Flamethrower Steel Wing Sky Attack Grr. Sky attack=Bad. Rest Crobat @ Bright Powder Swagger Wing Attack Bite Giga Drain I like this one too. Edits are above. 8) I'm a rater in training. |

Then again...you could shark it flamethrower... Espeon doesn't learn any fire moves and I wasn't lucky enough to get HP Fire. I don't really want to shark on illegal moves, if I wanted to do that I could start sharking Spore onto Electrode, Aeroblast on to Articuno? and Ice Beam on to Raichu? I want my team to be legal. Get what I mean? It gets kind of boring when your pokes have sharked attacks. And for Arty I'm thinking of Substitute + Reflect combo over Bubblebeam and Sky Attack. So what do you think? I think you will make a pretty good rater. |

Quote: Espeon doesn't learn any fire moves and I wasn't lucky enough to get HP Fire. You already maxed out all _V's possible? I was just getting carried away, I've never used a gameshark. (annoying) ~Substitute ~Reflect ~Ice Beam (for freezing) ~Icy wind (for slowing) First start with substitute and reflect, then carry on and freeze them and slow them. Switch out when you feal you have done enough, and finish them off. |

As rater, there's no need to request for people to create teams just for you to rate. Your post can be considered as spam, so don't do that in the future. |

Well, since the other applicant kind of dropped off the map, I am declaring Water Pokemon Master our fourth rater. Y'all have your fun, maybe I'll post my team in here eventually. EDIT: Or maybe I'll do it right now. @ Lefties Lovely Kiss Psychic Ice Beam Bubblebeam You can't do any better than that in GSC, so don't even try. @ Mint Berry Belly Drum Rest Return Shadow Ball Physical Sweeper and general tough cookie. @ King's Rock Flamethrower Dragonbreath Crunch Attract Special Sweeper and another tough cookie. @ nothing HP Electric Psychic Attract Mean Look Kind of an annoyer/trapper/sweeper. An advantageous Hidden Power in-game is rare, doncha know? @ Lefties Surf Toxic Barrier Mirror Coat Standard, but works really well. @ Brightpowder Sleep Powder Leech Seed Giga Drain Headbutt Annoyer. And it does a good job. Okay, go crazy. This team has been set in stone for quite a while and skewls my younger bro's all-00ber teams . . . |

Smeargle Move Sets It seems that I have yet to come up with any Pokemon movesets that really impress anyone... fair enough but I been thinking about the possiblities with Smeargle, as I have yet to capture one of these myself, I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but even thou Smeargle has poor all round stats (That explains why it isn't more popular) the idea that you can have any move combo appeals to me so here are a few combos I have made up. _______________ Baton Pass Calm Mind/Psych Up/Cosmic Power Double Team/Swords Dance Iron Defence/Bulk Up In essence this is a pure Baton Passer designed purely to use all 3 Stat improvement moves and then Baton Pass them, hopefully he/she will survive long enough to BP them. _______________ Mean Look Destiny Bond/Explosion Flatter/Glare/Hypnosis Perish Song The idea behind this is to use Mean Look to trap the unlucky Pokemon and then hit it with Perish Song and then confuse/paralyse/put to sleep the Pokemon before you call back your Smeargle. The Destiny Bond/Explosion is only used if you think your Smeargle will die before you be able to call it back. _______________ Lock On Guillotine Fissure Spikes The hope of this is that you would be able take out any Pokemon in 2 moves, Lock On to make sure the Guillotine or Fissure attack connects for a 1 hit KO and Spikes are used in case the trainer decides to change Pokemon in the hopes of avoiding been KOed. |

You seem to have definitely figured out how to use Smeargle, and I'll be honest with you, it's not good for much else, since it's stats are all so poor. Sometimes I use Smeargle like this, however: @ Brightpowder Mean Look Perish Song Protect Fly A Singer. Alternate between Protect and Fly to avoid damage. Try it out sometime, you might like it. |

@ Lefties Lovely Kiss Psychic Ice Beam Bubblebeam Shame it doesn't learn surf. I won't bother trying. Except what about putting attract over sweet kiss? Because confusion isn't permanant. You can't do any better than that in GSC, so don't even try. @ Mint Berry Belly Drum Rest Return Shadow Ball Yesssss my precioussss...we likessssss... Physical Sweeper and general tough cookie. @ King's Rock Flamethrower Dragonbreath Crunch AttractMake sure it's a girl. Special Sweeper and another tough cookie. @If you can, put BrightPowder here to make it really annoying HP Electric Psychic Attract Mean Look Kind of an annoyer/trapper/sweeper. An advantageous Hidden Power in-game is rare, doncha know? @ Lefties Surf Toxic Barrier Mirror Coat Standard, but works really well. Ahh...standard. I like that.=P @ Brightpowder Sleep Powder Leech Seed Giga Drain/synthesis/attract Headbutt That is all I have to say. I don't make new movesets, just modifie old ones. |

Nice warmup, WPM. Just be sure to remember in the future that Sweet Kiss confuses and Lovely Kiss puts to sleep. |

@ Brightpowder Mean Look Perish Song Protect Fly A Singer. Alternate between Protect and Fly to avoid damage. Try it out sometime, you might like it. But doesn't Perish Song kill you too if you stay on the field? Thats why I designed my Smeargle to Trap, Song and just staying long enough to sleep/confuse/paralyse my opponent before changing my Pokemon. |

Well I may not be a rater, but there's a Creative (I think it'd be) set I like. @ Brightpowder (I perfer this, since Espy just has ok HP) Psychic Hidden Power Fire Sunny Day Morning Sun Sunny Day makes Morning Sun refill your HP completely and it powers up HP Fire, though if you can't get HP Fire you could put Bite over it. -GSC Raters- Go ahead and post a rate for Espy, my set is just one I really liked awhile ago. |

Yours looks great, RL, but you want standardness, lemme give you what comes to mind: Espeon @ Lefties Psychic HP Water Attract Morning Sun/Toxic/Roar HP Water, only because it sweeps pretty well. But pretty much any special-type Hidden Power will do. Just stay away from any type powered by normal attack (Fighting, Poison, Bug, Steel, Ground, Rock, Flying) as Espeon has absolutely wretched Attack. If you need help on determining your Hidden Power, just ask. |

thx for the ideas. i can shark my espeon any move or hidden power so thats not a problem... but if i use attract (since most pokemon are male) shouldnt my espeon be a female? and is there a way i can shark gender? |

Male: 01FF3FDA 01FF40DA Female: 011F3DA 01FF40DA I found these on a site. I think it does the first poke on your party. (Note: These are Gold and Silver, I haven't been able to find Crystal ones yet. |

Here is a couple of extra moves! @ Leftovers Seismic Toss Night Shade Confuse Ray Super Fang Smeargle has woeful stats all round so Super Fang or two can reduce any Pokemon down to its last few HP while Seismic Toss and Night Shade makes sure that you can deliver fairly high amounts of damage no matter what and Confuse Ray can really annoy as well as harm your opponent. @ Leftovers Spikes Lock-On Sheer Cold Horn Drill This one is designed to be able to KO any Pokmon very fast... Ready! you lay down Spikes, Get Steady! You Lock-On and Go! Sheer Cold or Horn Drill will KO them. If the enemy trys to leave before you can KO them, the Spikes should damage the switching Pokemon. |
Author: | Chimaerax [ Tue Jan 25, 2005 6:00 pm ] |
Post subject: | |
im not a rater but if i may... the first one: ditch seismic toss cuz nightshade does the exact same thing and u dont want two similar attacks so add substitute in there for a little protection while u confuse and dish out the damage. the second one: good idea but sheer cold is not in g/s/c (which this topic is actually in) and maybe add fissure for the scheme (cant think of better one at the moment) to KO the ghost pokemon you're fearing. |
