Since I had some free time, I decided to draw out links between each of the breeding egg groups. I have checked the links with Psypoke's Psydex. However, the above map is for the fourth generation games only. For example, before Shellos and Gastrodon were introduced, there was no direct link between the Water 1 and Indeterminate egg groups. Three egg groups have been excluded from the diagram:
- Ditto: Ditto can breed with Pokemon in any egg group except those in No Eggs. Besides, Ditto can't learn TM moves.
- Genderless: The Genderless can only breed with Ditto, but since Ditto has been excluded from the diagram, I left Genderless out too.
- No Eggs: Self-explanatory, since members of this group have nothing to do with any other Pokemon.

I guess the map will come in handy for people planning to breed and spread TM moves around, since not all TMs can be easily replaced. Personally, I think I'll find the map useful.

If Psypoke deems this developing guide of mine worthy for Victory Road, I'll spend more time on it, such as writing out some (but probably not all) TM breeding paths.

I am not sure if anyone has drawn out a map like mine before, but I honestly drew out the map myself. I did not copy the map off someone else. I tried my best to make it neat by only using straight arrows.

If you included the pokemon that linked each group, that would help.

Wow, thank you to whoever moved this to Victory Road! :)

I'll do my best and hopefully learn some more things myself as I go about making this short guide.

I don't know if this is the right place (newbie to PsyPokes).. but I've got a slightly random breeding question!

Is there another way to breed Pokemon that has less risk of losing hard-earned attacks than the Daycare center?

No. You can only breed at the Daycare.
And I find this guide useful.
