I like it, it's definitly something different. It sounds fairly easy to use, and I'm looking forward to trying it when the Revolution comes out.

Umm WTF? One handed remote? umm I'm pretty speachless but for all the wrong things. One gripe i see right away is the absence of a few buttons, unless 'A&B' is different then 'a&b' I dont see the Right or Left trigger buttons either, which is going to make some games to play very difficult. My next problem I see will be "line of site" it say's that you can move the control and it would do something but what if you move it too far and your 'disconnected' ?

I guess its too soon for me to judge it.

Very awesome. I can't wait to get ahold of that system.

The B button is on the back of the main controller.

Back of the analog stick attachment. It's not that easy to see in the pic of it, but there are two small dark grey areas on the top right edge of the attachment.

It's wireless. Going by other wireless controllers, "disconnecting" would be impossible unless you were actually trying to do so.

Indeed it is. However, some people have already said this will stop them from buying the Revolution.

Personally, I now see why this is being called the Revolution. Nintendo are truly trying to innovate controller design with this console instead of just making small changes to the controller but otherwise keeping it the same as the last console.

I see this working great, especially with games like first-person shooters and fighting games. However, the change from two-handed operation to one hand may be a bit of a problem for some people, especially me, since I tend to be uncoordinated and am used to not having to move my arms to play video games.

It seems freaky, but it is unique. I'm not too sure if I like it. Only time will tell...

It actually has two-handed "variants", that you can plug into the bottom. A "Nunchuck" style thing with the analog stick in your left hand and the remotey bit in your right, and the whole thing can be neatly slotted into a more conventional controller "shell". I believe that's the idea anyway.

Goddammit, that thing looks like a freaking remote. >_<. I almost mistook it for my TV remote.

I can barely use the N64 controller, that thing's gonna be a hell of a disaster in my hands.

Freakish..... Ehhh, I might give it a shot. I might not feel compelled enough to use it.... I love the old controllers, but then again, revolutionizing stuff isn't bad, either!

Looks sad and (removed). Hate it. I thought this would actually be a decent controller of the 3rd gens.

There goes nintendo being nintendo again allready making accessories. Lets see Usaully Nintendo would offer a 'free' one in a game (which is actaully priced about 10% more) to give you a 'taste' then you would have to purchase more. Like the Rumble Pack, Expansion Pack and the Transfer Pack with the N64 and the Gameboy advance link cable with the Game Cube. And we all know about the accessories for the portable games.

And they can be criticised for this because obviously Nintendo is the only company that makes accessories.</sarcasm> Anyway, how did you expect a controller with 5 buttons (D-pad, A, B, a, and b) + Select, Home, and Start to be able to play games without some sort of attachment to add more buttons?

The only two confirmed attachments so far are the "Nunchaku" configuration with the analog/shoulder buttons in the left hand:

...and a shell controller, sort of like the Dreamcast's controller. IGN has a mock-up of what they think the shell controller will look like:

Any other attachments would likely be third party.

I reckon the controller looks pretty cool, and I'm starting to understand how it might work, at least for shooters. I'm guessing you'd look around by moving the Remote, and move forwards, backwards, or strafe using the digital pad. Other buttons would be used as normal. I think it's a pretty brilliant idea, and I can't wait to test it myself.

I also heard that it's compatible with GC controllers, so if you don't like the styl

Well, if they're innovating, why should Nintendo create an attachmente that looks almost exactly as an ordinary nintendo controller? To make easier for people to use it? C'mon.

I mean, they do want to get as much money from as as they can, but it's really unnecesary. If I had to spend like, freaking lots of bucks to buy that controller attachment I'd rather spend my time trying to learn how to use the remote.

Maybe the remote is easier for shooters and stuff, but I don't think would have lots of trouble playing those games with a wireless controller.

Personally I strongly dislike the controller. Unlike some, I won't not be buying the Revolution just because of it. I really don't like the XBox360, and the PS3 will apparently be extremely expensive, so I probably will buy the Revolution. Who knows, maybe the controller will be easy to use and interesting. But from what I see right now it just looks weird.

Its great and all but when playing games like ssbr on that controller wouldnt cut it.So its a good thing nintendo is making a shell for it because when playing games like ssbr or other games it will be simple.

Yes, I covered that in my second post in this thread.

The remote IS the controller. The Gamecube controller around it is a mockup of what IGN thinks the shell controller will look like. It's not to scale and it's probably not what it will look like. All Nintendo has said is that there will be some sort of shell controller made when the Revolution is released. There are no pictures of what it actually does look like right now.
