This is kind of a shot in the dark, I know, but I was a regular. I'm not using the name I used then for Reasons (not least because I was like 12 and it was embarrassing and involved inTERnAL cAPs), but I stumbled on here looking for something unrelated and wondered if any of the old guard is still around. I don't remember when the site and chat went down (2002?), but it was so sudden that I lost touch with almost everyone...just curious, I guess vOv

I check in every few years (seeking nostalgia highs more than anything). I'm responding to this post years later so I'm not expecting a response, but yes, I fondly think back on the mIRC days. I'll toggle notifications for replies to see if this catches anyone else's eye.

Just read the interview with Frost from Johto Times and was left with a reminder how impactful this place was as a kid, modern socials just don't feel the same.

I got here from the same interview! This place was my first internet forum and where I learnt English as a kid, it was really formative for me. I remember how vibrant it felt back in the day, sad to see that only a few forums (i.e. Smogon) seem to have survived.

I was here in the early days of the forums, at least. I was a kid then, and I kept losing my accounts, so I don't have a constant presence - which I'm kind of grateful for. I'm sure I have numerous embarrassing posts buried in the depths of this forum that I'd rather not revisit, or have attributed to me. I want to say that I first found my way here some time between 2002 and 2004? My exact memory is foggy, but I do remember these forums fondly, at least. It's a shame that the community fell apart.
